@Almost_Ghostly What on earth are you talking about? 🤣 I never mentioned going to a deserted island, you can't stay on topic dude. 🤣
And you really didn't understand my question regarding 2013. 🤦🏻♂️
It's down to this, I'll make it crystal clear...
Since when was the erosion of rights and options a good thing for the consumer? And why would anyone defend such things? Madness, blind fanboy madness. That's the only explanation. Bored now anyway, you just don't get it. Toodle on.
@Almost_Ghostly
Sounds like we are a similar age, and I wil not be silenced with a sit down from a blind corporation defender, get yourself off their "thing" and open your eyes.
Why are you defending this? What positive effect does this have on you as a consumer? You wont have an answer for that.
What was your stance in 2013? Or did the colour of the box (green) mean that it was different?
@Almost_Ghostly Of course you're tired, you are in Sony defense force mode.
Or perhaps it's this...
How did you feel about the Xbox DRM in 2013? Or are you too young and need to be educated, try Google to see what gamers thought then.
The fact that some content from some old platforms is available doesn't comfort those who lost content on other platforms, and it shouldn't wash with game preservation, people bought these games in good faith.
@UltimateOtaku91
I never mentioned a scenario where my net is down for 30 days.
I meant (and I think you know this) what if my net is down when I go to play? You know, when I haven't had my PS4 or PS5 plugged in as we have moved onto a newer console, but I get my old boxes out and want to play my library I paid for, or maybe I have gifted it to a relative, child, charity etc. If my/their net is down, or if Sonys server is down, or if it's switched off... No gameplay.
@Questionable_Duck Switch 2 is 30 seconds. Yeah Xbox can record longer vids to an external drive, which is a shame, but still, it's possible. Switch 2 being so short I guess is to save on it's meagre storage space, I guess Xbox are trying to save space too.
I can't remember the last time I recorded a video on any of the three consoles tbh and if I had a YouTube channel I'd use an external recorder anyway. I wonder what the stats are on useage of this feature. 🤔
Ah so it's 2013 again, but this time Sony will be given a free pass. It may remain, or it may be revoked, but the masses will let it pass. Remember your stance all those years ago people, be consistent.

@MrHaggi
And what happens when you can't connect? Maybe your net is down? Maybe they turned the server off? All gone. So short sighted. 🤦🏻♂️
