As soon as the clock struck midnight (UTC+1, since I live in Denmark ), I put on my PSVR, and selected the VR missions, and....... WOW!!!! First impression did definitelty NOT disappoint! Just to be clear, I've been a fan of the Ace Combat series ever since the very first game released on the original PlayStation back in 1995. I've played EVERY game in the series, and I've accumulated MANY "flight hours" in both the Ace Combat games, and simulators like Microsoft Flight Simulator - and on top of that, I'm a passionate planespotter. So I'm pretty sure, that my wife won't be seeing much of me this weekend! ;P Hmmmmm...... Wonder if my old flightsuit still fits? ;D
I've had my PSVR for some months now - and I still have a lot of fun with it. Besides the "big games" that I own (Tetris Effect, Moss and Astro Bot Rescue Mission), I still "immerse" myself into some of the experiences (<------ not necessarily games) and, in my opinion, "hidden gems", that have been released for the PSVR, like Apollo 11, Titanic VR, Rush VR, Electronauts, Just In Time Inc., Ultrawings, and the Star Wars Battlefront Rogue One : VR Mission, just to name some of them. What the future holds? At the moment, I'm just hyped for Ace Combat 7 to be released (The WHOLE game - not only the VR part!! ;D ). But I'm sure that there will be more to come in 2019.
sigh And here we go again..... 🙄 People still haven’t learned, that one of the reasons that a good number of games are “disappointing”, is their own TOO HIGH EXPECTATIONS!!! Personally, I couldn’t care less about “drawdistance”, “focal depth” or the size of waterpuddles, or if a game is 4K capable or not. As long as a game isn’t too glitchy, runs fluidly, AND (actually most important!!!) is FUN TO PLAY(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), I’m happy!!! 😉👍
