@4kgk2 You seem to be white knighting hard for Sony while accusing others of white knighting. Who honestly cares what platform sold more apart from console war children?
If you really want to go there, Nintendo Switch is outselling both Xbox Series and PS5 still. It has already surpassed sales of PS4 too despite existing for a shorter time.
Clearly Nintendo is the winner. One Mario game alone normally ships more copies than several PlayStation or Xbox exclusives and their entire franchises. Just Mario Kart 8 alone has outsold the entire God of War, Halo, Gears of War and Uncharted franchises put together lol.
@KundaliniRising333 Rise of the Ronin seems to be very different as it's an actual open world RPG and doesn't appear to have the loot mechanics of Diablo as Nioh and this game do.
As for me, I enjoy the loot mechanics in these games. I never felt I was discovering the same items either as they were all different with 100 different designs for the Katana alone without mentioning all the other categories of weapons.
If loot based RPGs aren't your thing I can understand why you would criticise Nioh but I think it worked really well and led to a game where you could create complex builds.
@Th3solution Give both Nioh games a try. I mean that's one person's opinion. For me, I found both Nioh games better than anything From Software has produced. I don't know where the "cartoonish cutscenes" criticism come from but Nioh had done its cutscenes very well complete with facial capture for dialogue. Dialogue was natural too.
@durxll123 That's because it is a PS4 game just like God of War Ragnarok, Elden Ring, Horizon etc. There's only been three actual PS5 games as of yet...
Why should it be any different from Nioh? Nioh was well received and this is basically a spiritual successor. The loot system is enjoyed by most alongside the fact that there's a mission select.
Cartoonish cutscenes? Neither this or Nioh have any.
The difference between this and say Elden Ring however is light and day. Team Ninja have revamped the combat completely with entirely new animations whereas Elden Ring is still running with PS3 era animations from Dark Souls 1 and the same combat system.
It's strange some would criticise this game for looking similar to Nioh but not Elden Ring for looking similar to Dark Souls.
I and many others are looking forward to this. Just because you're not doesn't mean Team Ninja have to change anything. Elden Ring was still a success despite not changing much from Dark Souls. Undoubtedly this will be too.
@Jswift56 I don't think there's ever going to be a sequel to Bloodborne. At most, it would see a spiritual successor I think.
Honestly, a live action, movie or anime would just be bad. What makes Bloodborne's storytelling amazing is its subtle nature of storytelling through the environment and exploration. Cinematic stories are the opposite of Soulsborne games.
@SoulsBourne128 Oh God no. They butchered Castlevania, God knows what they'd do to Bloodborne but it would be filled with too much monologue and expositional dialogue. Best to leave Bloodborne as a game.
@IonMagi It wouldn't work as an anime. In fact From's games are all about exploration, atmosphere and subtle story telling. I don't know why anyone would want a TV series.
@RicebinBernacky If you want the ultimate fantasy, look no further than atheism and the decline of New Atheism when Richard Dawkins refused to debate William Lane Craig knowing WLC would make an embarrassment of all those atheist arguments you think are so amazing lol.
@SettleDownBeavis No Christians have engaged in something violent to protest criticism of Christianity.
Being told another point of view doesn't equal oppression.
I've never understood Western critics of religion. Your movements will say everything critical of religions and when people respond, you ask "why offended" probably for the same reason JK Rowling's tweets offend you. The difference is, Christians won't send death and rape threats over this game.

Re: Native PS5 Version of Sci-Fi RPG The Outer Worlds Rated for Release
@dschons It's a console exclusive for Xbox Series X. Obsidian is not releasing anymore titles for Sony or Nintendo ever since Microsoft brought them.
Re: Native PS5 Version of Sci-Fi RPG The Outer Worlds Rated for Release
@Mad001 It's because Microsoft brought the developers so now they exclusively develop for PC and Xbox.

Re: Go Hunting for Witches in Grimdark Action Game The Inquisitor, Q4 2023
@L_Bosch So instead of an edgy anti Christian story, it's a edgy story written by a Westboro baptist member? That sounds just as bad.
