Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 482

It won't be FF16 or Crash as I was left so disappointed by the last installments that I now refuse to pay top dollar for inferior products. Developers have grown too accustomed to releasing bug riddled garbage and people accepting this as "the norm". It's time we stood up for ourselves as consumers and present a united front to demonstrate that we're not accepting this. Would you accept a half MOT'd car or half a meal in a restaurant? Why then just accept a half finished poor excuse of a bug riddled game? Aren't we due more for our hard earned money?

I was supposed to be playing GOW but thanks to ShopTo and it's idiotic idea to use Evri, I still don't have it 4 days on from release. ShopTo won't even call the courier to find out what's going on, instead telling me "If it still hasn't been delivered by the end of Monday...". What planet are these clowns on? They have no idea on customer service and no idea on how to placate customers that have been screwed over due to their cheap assed penny pinching. They were aware of issues and still only had one guy, Jack, on the phones. To say that Jack was less than helpful was an understatement, however that wasn't his fault as his management had left him hamstrung by telling him to refuse to contact the courier's, not to refund customers and deny customers the "Get it on the day of release guarantee", as only DPD and Royal Mail are mentioned in ShopTo's caveats. Jack admitted Evri were used as a last minute substitution because of their cheapness. Customers were not informed and were not given the chance to cancel their order. I'm sure many, like myself, are absolutely furious that ShopTo still have our money and we have no product. In case they haven't figured it out yet, there is a monetary crisis ongoing in this country just now and there will be many that can't afford to splash out on a second copy of a game to keep their kids happy while ShopTo contemplate how their going to remove their fingers from their backsides.
I'm stuck playing Far Cry 6 this weekend.

It wouldn't be so bad if this wasn't the 3rd or 4th month in a row of garbage. Sony started out strong but have now just resorted to throwing out any old crap in the hope that it will stick. October used to at least have a theme of Halloween to it, but not now, now it's just the same old attitude of throw any crap at them and the morons will just accept it. Day by Day, week by week and month by month Microsoft's offering is looking stronger and stronger.
I really think that Sony need a shock to the sales ledger to make the executives wake up and take stock of how pitiful their offering has become. I'd gladly give up the games each month because they are so poor, however Sony would need to cut the price to make me interested in paying solely to play online. At the moment it just doesn't add up as the offers are just so poor.
