Ahhh I played this on PS5 Pro last year when they said they weren’t expecting to patch it. I really did hope for a RT 60FPS quality mode. Fingers crossed, it would be glorious!
Had a blast last 2 nights. Have preordered but likely won’t play any more until the game comes out since nothing carries over. Hoping there are others doing the same.
But seemingly there are lot of people desperate to point out every single metric in a desperate bid to highlight how this will fail. Not sure why the mentality - just move on.
I can accept the criticism in a bid to improve things, like the UI issues; but just hating and slamming the game if you have no intent to buy or play. What joy does that bring you?
@NEStalgia I played for a few hours last night and one of my major takeaways was it felt a lot less straining on the eyes to play for that period of time. I agree that I think the draw/blur distance has been increased as when scanning for creatures it felt easier looking at the horizon.
Overall agree with your comments - I think they probably oversold it with the statement in the patch notes is where people’s frustration is coming from.
I was holding out getting too deep this play through to wait for some revolution in graphics but I don’t think that’s realistic now. So will just enjoy it for what it is
Not convinced there is much change on PSVR2 graphics. Looks very much the same to me 🙁
Still playing and the update is more amazing content. But if you are expecting massively improved graphics and significantly less blur, don’t get your hopes up!

Re: PSN Down as PS5, PS4 Players Report Offline Issues
PlayStation have updated their website with the outage now at least. No news on a fix time though.

Re: Poll: How Would You Rate State of Play for February 2026?
Best in a long time I think. Some great updates and new announcements.
Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Extra, Premium Games for October 2025?
Didn’t end up buying silent hill 2 so very happy to play that.
I’ve also never played a yakuza game so will probably give that a go.

Very interested to know if it’s just me though.
