So how does this rewind tech work to reduce input lag then? Tried a quick google search but nothing's come up. I'm a bit dubious that they can retrospectively remove input lag from our wireless joypads and HDTV set ups, but it would be great if it's possible. Is it some form of displaying the gameplay a few frames late, to give the illusion it's more responsive than it actually is?

@ToddlerNaruto that's the way I'm leaning. I too won't have a 4K TV for many years, and looking at some vids on YouTube the Pro really is quite a beast, too big if I'm not going to benefit from most of it. £200 for a PS4 + games is amazing value and I can't really pass that up, and it really shows up how expensive the Switch is. I don't know how that's still selling like it is. I'll take power and games over portability, that's for sure.

I'm hoping to buy a PS4 for the first time early next year. I'm a big Nintendo gamer (I frequent the Nintendo Life comments fairly regularly) and was going to get a Switch, but seeing the price difference on hardware and games I decided to come back to the dark side and get a PS4. There are some great games, and it will be nice having access to all the big games for a change. DOOM was the clincher, it's great it's on a handheld but you can get the better version on PS4 for under £10. I can't justify £280 + £45 for it on Switch. I haven't had a PlayStation since the PS1 so I've got a lot of catching up to do! 😀

My only dilemma is whether to get the Pro or not. I don't have a 4K TV, and I really prefer the size of the Slim model, but those choices of increased frame rates is very tempting. Plus future proofing I suppose.
