No EA games for me then. I'm sure other companies will be happy to part me with my money by providing the single player experiences I want. Shame, but such is life.
@crystalorbie The problem with the 'Slippery Slope' argument as a defence for Sony's stance on this is that surely the slide was started by PlayStation Plus in the first place when it started offering games to people who signed up. Nobody seemed too bothered then; so why is it okay when Sony do it but not okay when another company does. Seems like a double standard to me.
@get2sammyb One thing Sony could do is front some of the money for the creation of an umbrella organisation or association which promotes and supports independent developers. Maybe if independent developers gave up a little of that independence in order to support each other they can confront larger companies with such bullying tactics.
Of course Sony would then have to leave them to their own devices and may end up in dispute at later date if they ever create any similar ant-indie policies, but I think it could go some way to challenge Microsoft's current policy and would likely garner some positive press.

"It's worth pointing out that pretty cool role-playing title Grand Kingdom is cross-buy"
I don't think this is correct. I own the digital Vita version and can't download on PS4 without buying.
