I thought the Modern Warfare series always had the best campaigns and the most pulse-pounding setpieces. The ending of Modern Warfare 2 is still my favorite in Call of Duty history. Was kind of hoping they would put out a remaster of the whole trilogy, not just CoD4.
I think there is a way to make this system work. Maybe whenever someone trades in a game, a "used" version of the game license could be added to the PS Store for sale. The used version would cost slightly less (just like a physical used game), but there would be a limited "pool" of used game licenses based on the number of people who traded their game in.
A few cheaper licenses could provoke more sales overall. And the plus side of people buying used copies digitally too, is that the money would still go to the devs, publishers, and Sony, something that doesn't happen when people buy a used game at retail. So some extra sales on the "used" digital games could be enough to offset the costs of having to pay people for their game trade-ins.
@MinerWilly Glad you invested in the trilogy - it's probably in my top 3 favorite game series of all time. Mass Effect 1 is great. Mass Effect 2 is a masterclass in game design though. If you're liking 1, I think you'll love 2.
Interesting looking game and great review! May have to pick this one up soon! @Quintumply What were your biggest detractors about the game? You touched on occasional cheaply-hidden traps and the standard challenge that comes with a Souls game, but was there anything else that put you off to it? What made the game an 8 to you and not a 9?

Never played the first or second one (I know, I know), so I'm looking forward to giving it a go with this collection.
As far as the Mass Effect quip at the end of the article, yes please. It's quite literally the only game series I want to see remastered on PS4.
