FF IX, being possibly the best FF ever, was released at the worst possible timing, with the dawn of the PS2 and FFX right around the corner. IMO a remake would give it its proper time to shine (although keeping the battle systems, no FFVII Remake BS).
Also, the Bring Arts figurines they released a few years ago are stunning.

Same here. Only able to access trial version. PS4 version installed, will only let me get the trial.
This same kind of issue happened last year with AC Valhalla. Unable to upgrade PS4 discs for PS5. It actually took WEEKs for them to fix.
By the time they did, I’d lost interest.
These issues shouldn’t be happening 12+ months after a console launch
Remaking my favourite game of all time in FF IX would be just incredible. Also, there’s an animated series in the works, wouldn’t that make it even more credible?! A new show and game version alongside, similar to what TLOU is doing with their remake. Daring to dream…

The more I read into this the more worrying it is.
Sony has said it’s developers decisions whether PS4 saves will work on PS5.
So there could be a lot of developers that might not get any financial benefit of working to allow saves to transfer, so they might not bother...

Sorry I'm probably being stupid but does this finally clarify if PS4 games could be saved to a USB and then transferred to a PS5?
I'm hoping to sell my PS4 next week before the trade-in values go through the floor, this has been holding me back...
