That is the driving force of any MMO based game. Expansion gear is same with higher stats that needs to be worked for all over again. After maxing level and beating the original raid Hardmode, i felt no need to either farm for new gear in Crota nor max out the new level. I just beat the raid then left it lol You can do Everything the game has to offer being lvl30 or 31 so i didnt see any need. The same will happen for HoW as well.
@AlexStinton yea i think it might be just a little buggy for trophies here and there, reading someone on Xbox having done criteria but no achievement pops for other things like 10for1 grenade kills and others. Its no major deal, as i will have to do a few playthroughs anyway to get platinum
@BAMozzy Yea im playing it co-op with a friend, i would guess if i play through solo it will give me the trophies but i just dont want to have to add another playthrough to the game when i should just get the trophies as i am completing the chapters same as the Host lol I found it wierd that i got the first chapter but not the second, and on that second chapter i got the trophy to kill the Occult guy but my partner didnt lol Im guessing that is because i got the kill shot on boss but still, its all a bit random. Gona carry on tonight so il see if Labyrinth chapter and further gives me anything.
I'm really enjoying the game, co-op is good fun! The only hangup iv had is that not being the host (as it tells me my internet is to bad to host a game lol) it is not giving me the Chapter completion trophies. It gave me the first but then the second it did not. I dont know if that is a glitch or what, i will have to see tomorrow. Otherwise it will be like Dead Island where i will have to play the whole game again solo just to get the chapter trophies =/
It will be funny if/when Knack does go on IGC, all the people that will be like "Yea i told you it would be!!" .. even tho its been the predicted game every month for almost the past year lol I am more interested in the PS3/Vita choices as they are what i spend more time playing than PS4.
I'll guess something like MGS:GZ as my 'If i say it every time eventually i will be right' choice.
There needs to be a balance i think. I dont care for myself so much anymore as i play for a few hours at a time so most games get a good lifespan, some i dont visit for years before completion. Thinking back to childhood tho, when i played Zone of the Enders for the first time i was so upset that i completed it in one sitting i couldn't believe it was over so soon. All this aside, with the abundance of returned games i dont think there are Any games worth the day 1 price. Im happy there are so many people that do not think to really look at what they are investing in before purchase, otherwise i wouldn't be able to buy every new game cheaper.
@rjejr Agreed. I have thought this about a lot of the franchises that are popping up for pure sake that at Some point in the past 3 decades they where the popular of the genre for the time. If they wanted to make it in any way like the film they should have given it to Telltale. The 4 v 1 could be interesting but really not fitting with the idea of unsuspecting teens being knocked off until the heroin clocks on and then its a cat and mouse game to the finish. This game will be 4 people with little fear, knowing what they are doing in a situation with no threat of actual harm.
Its a shame because i am a massive fan of 80's horror films and this could have been really good. But then the last time a game lived up to what i wanted it to be was probly PlayStation Metal Gear Solid lol
