Haha. It's interesting to see so many miscellaneous gaming news sites link back to my Reddit thread. I initially posted that customer support response in a Nintendolife comment in the article about the upcoming physical release, but I thought posting it to the Nintendo Switch subreddit as well would give it more eyes. It is such a glaring issue with the game, and the response was so bafflingly bad, it needed to be seen.
This trailer made me think that Konami is targeting fans of "indie metroidvania" type games that became popular well after Castlevania went dormant, rather than fans of Castlevania itself. The aesthetic doesn't scream Castlevania to me. And aesthetic is one of the most important things about Castlevania.
That being said, I am looking forward to playing this. I don't have PS5 (i'm normally on Nintendolife) but Konami would have to be extremely foolish to not release this for Nintendo.
