It was a no buy from me anyway, given Take-Two/Gearbox's recent amendments to the EULA'S on all the previous games, some pretty shady crap being added. Anyone buying this game or any of the other games since this change, has no right to cry about x/y/z developer saying we don't own games we buy, etc, if your fine supporting take-two/gearbox after the mentioned EULA changes.
@Porco But your missing your own point, they would sell at a loss the "first few years", at which point traditionally the fab process would become cheaper and/or would have a significant process shrink increasing the yields per wafer, guess what, like I've stated countless times and your ignoring, is not the case now, the fab prices are increasing and because of moores law process shrinking has become less significant, again, meaning the savings they would get per wafer due to increased yields is no longer the case, factor in inflation being out of control at the minute. This is all ignoring the other big elephant in the room, the game that certain person is playing with tarrifs.
Again, would you run a business at a constant loss, because of factors outside your control.
Edit: This will be my last post as I can't sit here arguing all day, clearly you've set your mind on this outlook and can't see it from any other perspective. But if you really think the board members and investors(yes, another thing you haven't considered about these ✌️greedy ✌️ companies is they are not alone and have others to consider) at Sony and Microsoft(again you keep leaving Microsoft out of this despite increasing there price also, all while s^^^king nearly $80billion on 2 publishers and then laying off 10's of thousands of employees)are really going to sit there looking at the books and see a negative cash flow for years on end, becuase they will not be looking at the "what if's" but every single avenue at negative and positive cash flow, be it hardware, software, services, etc and be like yeah that's fine we "might" get more software sales if we keep selling at a loss, then you really are delusional🙄
@Porco Like I've pointed out in multiple posts what are Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo suppose to do, when waffer prices are increasing on a yearly basis at this point and not reducing, again like I mentioned it will be a 20% price rise in just the last 2 years, coupled with inflation and also the threat from a certain tarrif. Previous generations waffer prices were stable, coupled with big advancements in process nodes(ps4 down from 28nm to 16nm, vs ps5 7nm vs 6nm, meaning yield per waffer has a much smaller increase), inflation was more stable.
Would you run a business at a loss because of factors outside your control🤦🏻♂️
@CielloArc But running a translation layer creates a penalty hit(just look at side by side comparisons of steam os running proton vs windows) and consoles are about being as streamlined as possible to get the most out the hardware used.
Given how closely Sony has worked with AMD on PSSR and AMD's upcoming redstone, there's absolutely no reason for them to ditch the amd SoC. There's far to much risk(no pun intended) to ditch AMD.
@CielloArc There's a reason why they went to x86, that's what developers wanted, easier unification of code, switching to risc or arm would cause all the issues we saw back on the ps3/360 where one platform has an enormous advantage over the other, then you would have people crying over "x dev is showing x console favouritism" and a probable increase in dev time for them having to code for each solution, look how long it took 3rd party devs to get to grips with the cell processor🤦🏻♂️
Also the cost increase is to do with TSMC, simple as that, look at my post above, the only solution would be switching to intel fabbed chips or Samsung both that are nowhere near as advanced or efficient as what tsmc has to offer.
@Ainu20 Also the thing that nobody brings up, relating to the console prices going up and not down, is TSMC raising the cost of waffers in 2022, then again by 10% this year and is rumoured to be again raising the price by 10% next year to pay for their new advanced nodes(and possibly US tarrifs). But again, it's always Sony, Microsoft or Nintendo's fault, not factors outside their control🤷🏻♂️
First up these are not ports and secondly did we really expect them to have trophies given Capcoms track record with these classics additions🤷🏻♂️
Honestly if you want some form of feedback for the feeling of accomplishment, download an emulator(duck😉), find the roms for these games, sign up for retro achievements and link that to the emulator. Now you will have achievements for the sake of accomplishment, plus a better experience as these emulators allow for much better scaling, etc.
Oh and if you don't care about the feeling of accomplishment, go to the biorand site and download the biggest package, as it has the 3 games with patches, textures packages, etc😉
Question is, is it a actual physical release or a false physical release like Doom TDA, which is essentially a disk based version of Nintendos key carts🤔
So, is Paramount+ getting this the same time for those of us in the UK(or whatever platform has it for everywhere else outside the US) or are we all getting screwed again having to try and dodge spoilers for near on 8 months🙄
Oh come on, even that Nigerian prince that keeps emailing me could see this was an attempted pump & dump scam, they just couldn't create something even good enough to keep people's attentions until the funds cleared, so it was either give the money back or be forced to by steam. I still can't believe steam didn't blacklist them after this though.
Oh and let's not forget the whole " we're done developing games", 2 months later "hey we're developing a new game, all you need to do is support our kickstarter"🤦🏻♂️
I wish these companies would stop this BS, an SSD is an SSD. From various tests I've seen, these "official" SSD's actually perform worse than the non "official" version. Just get a 4TB SN850X without a heat for £270 and buy a after market heat sink(the ones that also replace the ps5 ssd slot cover) for as low as £17, for a grand total of £287 saving you £113 over the "official" 4TB which performs worse.
This is exactly why I have no faith anymore in R* or any real excitement for GTA6 it will be the exact thing all over, cancelled single player DLC just to focus on cheap, low effort, copy/paste(for the most part)content, poorly balanced payouts/pricing of items(like some s###box car costing well over 1mil being 1 example) all in the name of pushing shark cards.
And guess what it worked, as most people just followed R* blindly, without asking questions, just like good little cash sheep.
@Golem25 How the hell can you give a game a score when you haven't played it yourself, absolutely ridiculous concept be like reviewing a car without driving it, reviewing a song without listening to it or reviewing a film/series without watching it.

@BAMozzy and your missing the point, £300 was expensive back in 2000, just look at statistics of the average income back then vs now🤦🏻♂️
