Don't we have RE Village to thank for adding the third-person camera to a first-person designed game? I ask that knowing that Capcom added a third-person camera to RE Village months after launch in the Gold Edition DLC. If RE7 was too scary in first person, why did they make a direct sequel that did the same thing? Why wasn't Village even brought up in the article?
As pointed out in the article, Virtuos is a MASSIVE third-party company, remaking games for even BIGGER companies that approve and ship what Virtuos makes for them. So lets all remember that this MASSIVE company made a terrible, framerate dropping POS game in UE5 and it's all inexcusable because of just how massive everything is.
My game dropped 3 frames in one of the cutscenes last night (I know this because my eyes are just that good) and the whole time I thought about how much more I know about game development and how I could have made this game run at a perfect 60 FPS (the only way games can be enjoyable, FYI). If only Virtuos would have hired me...
All of gaming now boils down to people complaining about frame-rates, UE5, or Switch Key Cards. That's it. Good job everyone!
The amount of weight Digital Foundry (five people?) has in the gaming world now is insane. Non-stop videos and articles using something they said to make content. Everyone at DF should be swimming in cash for the amount of sites and content creators that use their work to make content.
They want to be Capcom. Well, I wish them luck. Currently, Nintendo and Capcom seem to be the only big companies that truly understand release cadence and marketing.
The bar I set for State of Plays from Sony is extremely low. And yet I ALWAYS walk away disappointed. They deserve all the criticism they are getting for that presentation. "Boohooo, stop picking on PlayStation.... waaahhh!"
Instead of the "copy and paste" job you did from IGN, maybe write some actual thoughts and analysis of your own. What do YOU think caused the outage? What do YOU think the response should have been from Sony?
What a bunch of cry baby, self-entitled monsters. What do you want? A free PSVR2 sent to your house for the outage? Five extra days for 19 hours isn't enough? When the local McDonald's has to shut down because too many people called off, should I demand a $20 gift card for their "lack of transparency"? Get real.
"While the post from the company is cute and achieved its intended effect, buying physical wouldn’t have necessarily helped gamers take their titles online faster during the outage – and, honestly, there are better retailers to purchase boxed software from anyway."
Give me a break. Top-notch reporting we have here. Its a stupid tweet from a sinking company. And I thought everyone was crying about game preservation and all things need to be physical... so are we officially past this irritating talking point now that we can't use our physical games during a network outage? Or we can use them, just not all the way, but it's still fine because you can play single-player? How am I supposed to feel Push Square?
