It's about to be revealed by the publisher, and we're pretty excited to see what this instalment is going to look like. It's the 25th anniversary of the franchise, so here's hoping EA and Ghost Games can push the boat out. But what are all...

News The Largely Forgotten Need for Speed Unbound Is Still Getting Big Updates on PS5
Lockdown mode coming soon
We feel a bit sorry for Need for Speed Unbound; it launched back in December 2022 with almost no fanfare at all, despite being arguably the best game in the series in years. Still, while it's flown way under the radar, it's quietly been receiving great post-launch support all this time, with the next big update coming very...

News Need for Speed Unbound Volume 2 Brings New Events, Features in Major Update
Fuel injection
Need for Speed Unbound is a highly entertaining arcade racer, but let's be honest, the online multiplayer and post-game experience isn't particularly interesting. That looks set to change pretty soon, though, as developer Criterion has just announced the first post-launch update, called Volume 2. This free game update is a pretty big...
News More Info About Need for Speed Unbound's Post-Launch Support Coming in January
Criterion isn't done yet
Need for Speed Unbound arrived to little fanfare earlier this month. It's a shame, because the PS5 arcade racer is really rather good — probably the best the series has been in a long time. Whether or not you've joined the crew, Criterion Games clearly isn't finished with the stylish street racing title just yet. In a...

News Need for Speed Unbound's Overly Aggressive Social Media Apologises
Feeling the heat
Update: Well, this isn’t very rebellious, is it? Need for Speed Unbound has been playing it fast and loose on social media, and it’s been drawing attention to the game. However, it seems executives have got cold feet on the strategy, and the account has apologised for its overly aggressive tone earlier in the week. While we...
News Need for Speed Unbound Looks a Little Flat in Chunky PS5 Trailer
Wheel deal?
EA still seems reluctant to show uninterrupted footage of Need for Speed Unbound, but at least this gameplay trailer has a good chunk of actual racing in it. From the clip, we get to see the setup that will precede each race, as you have to buy-in to each event and bet against rivals – and then we see the core, arcade action. In...

News Need for Speed Unbound's PS5 Soundtrack Will Make You Feel Old
But it ain't bad
We’ve already established that Need for Speed Unbound is way too cool for school, so you can only imagine what its soundtrack looks like. Look, we hate drawing attention to our thinning hair, but genuinely we’re struggling with this list of artists. A$AP Rocky was a given, he’s a character in the game, after all. And we’ve...

Think of it a bit like gymkhana in...
