IO Interactive has announced a Starter Pack for 007 First Light will be released on the PS Store in the coming days that lets all PS5 owners play the game's introductory mission for free.

The download will be available from 10th November 2026 on PS5, and grants access to the Against the Odds level at the start of the campaign. In this mission, you'll be introduced to the world and the style of gameplay IO Interactive went for after Hitman 3.

It's a nice taster of what's to come in the full game, and if you like what you play, then your progress will carry over if you decide to purchase it. 007 First Light has also just been added to PS Plus Premium, where you can play it for an hour. That should let you play a little bit beyond the first mission.

Making the offer even better, 007 First Light is discounted as part of the PS Store Black Friday sale. The Deluxe Edition is available at 50% off for £34.99 / $39.99, until 21st November 2026.

You'll get to try one of 2026's best PS5 games, as we said in our 007 First Light PS5 review: "The characterisation of this young Bond and his associates is really strong, and the globetrotting story lets you explore some great locations. It really shines in its sandbox missions, but it weaves these together with its more linear moments in a seamless, cinematic way."
