The year isn't done yet with new PS5 game releases, but Housemarque's own Saros has already begun winning awards.

The PS5 title has been recognised at the 2026 Music + Sound Awards, which are voted on by industry professionals. It's won the following three awards:

  • Best Original Composition in a Video Game (Gameplay)
  • Best Original Composition in a Video Game (Cinematics / Cutscenes)
  • Best Sound Design in a Video Game (Cinematics / Cutscenes)

To win the accolades, Saros fended off competition from the likes of 007 First Light, Planet of Lana 2, Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred, Ghost of Yotei, and Borderlands 4.

On social media, Housemarque congratulated "all the teams that worked on Saros" for winning the three awards:

Creative director Gregory Louden added: "Our unique sound and our monstrous musical score for Saros has won three awards. In an amazing year, Saros stands out as something new and bold, and I’m super proud of what we accomplished."

These were just the first set of awards Saros had the potential to win, as the PS5 exclusive is also nominated in three categories at the Golden Joystick Awards taking place next month. There, it's nominated in the Best Audio Design, Best Visual Design, and Console Game of the Year categories.
