The Precinct was something of a standout game for me last year.

For those unfamiliar, it's a sort-of-top-down sandbox title where you play as a rookie cop. You patrol the fictional Averno City, tackling dynamic crimes that spring up across the map.

It's really good fun, and its sandbox design is always throwing crazy scenarios at you, whether you're pursuing criminals down alleyways and stumbling into gang territory, or slamming a getaway vehicle into a perfectly-placed set of tyre spikes.

It's cool to hear, then, that The Precinct just got another significant patch. Titled the 'Armored Truck Update', it's available to download now on PS5.

As the name strongly suggests, the patch adds new missions that involve guarding armoured trucks, as well as stopping ATM robberies and even kidnappings.

There's already a lot of variety in the kind of crimes that the game throws your way, so the fact that developer Fallen Tree Games has found a way to add even more of them is quite impressive.

The update also brings "additional document checks, gameplay changes, quality-of-life improvements, audio changes, and bug fixes," as per the official press release.
