Earlier this month, there were rumours circling with regards to Onimusha: Way of the Sword's release date.

A renewed retail listing had people thinking that Capcom was going to bring the game's launch forward to the 4th September — three whole weeks ahead of its previously planned 25th September date.

But that's not the case. Way of the Sword is still dropping on the 25th, as per Capcom's latest showcase. A fresh look at the action title ends by reiterating the original date.

So, the new Onimusha's still going to hit bang in the middle of the autumn / fall's insane release schedule. The good news is that the game continues to look fantastic.

Indeed, a new boss fight is shown off in the above video, and it appears to be a tough one. I still think the animation work in particular is a sight to behold — those are some beautiful perfect dodges and parries.
