Still a little strange, isn't it? Halo on PS5. Especially now Microsoft is taking a step back towards console exclusivity.
But we are where we are, with Halo: Campaign Evolved heading to Sony's console day and date with Xbox and Steam. What's more, we now have a glimpse of what it looks like on PS5 hardware.
This latest trailer for the remake has been captured on PS5 Pro, and it looks pretty dang good.
With a mix of cutscenes and gameplay, this new video looks great, and when that iconic main theme kicks in, it's hard not to get amped up.
This is a remake of the original Halo: Combat Evolved, albeit without its revered multiplayer. As the name suggests, this is purely focused on the single player campaign, though it can be played in co-op if you like.
It also includes a handful of new missions set before the main campaign.
A big part of this game's appeal is its debut on PlayStation, and Halo Studios is planning to take full advantage of that.
In addition to being enhanced for PS5 Pro, the game will fully support the features of the DualSense controller, and the team views Master Chief's expansion onto PS5 as a way to expand the universe and grow the community.
As was announced recently, it's due for launch on 28th July, 2026, so there's not long to wait before you can play Xbox's flagship first-person shooter on your PS5.
