Tekken 8 fans have been in a bloody brawl with maker Bandai Namco for years now, but if these Street Fighter 6 rumours come true, blood is going to boil.
Many of you will know that Tifa Lockhart from Final Fantasy 7 has been one of the most requested Tekken 8 characters ever since its release in 2024.
And now in what may prove a knock out blow, word is coming through that the busty character may be joining Capcom’s fighter instead.
This all stems from a now-deleted leak posted to Reddit by RnK_Clan, a snoop who correctly outed the contents of Street Fighter 6’s second season.

The user claims that Season 4, to be announced later this year, will feature Vega, Gouken, Mike Haggar, and Tifa Lockhart.
Vega makes a lot of sense, given his popularity and representation in the upcoming Street Fighter movie (where he’s played by Orville Peck).
Mike Haggar we can also see, as there’s a lot of Final Fight representation in Street Fighter 6, particularly in its World Tour mode, so he seems like a good pick.
Many fans are already bemoaning the potential inclusion of Gouken; he’s not a particularly popular character, and is another shoto, which some find disappointing.
But while we reckon Tifa would be a better fit for Tekken, there’s no question her martial arts would also work well in Capcom’s game. The title already has the likes of Chun-Li and Mai Shiranui, so the dev certainly knows the value of adding waifus.
Whether this turns out to be true or not is just a matter of time. The source is strong, but leaks like this always demand scrutiny.
We’ll be getting our first look at Season 3’s concluding character Ingrid later today, which should open the door for Season 4 reveals in the not-too distant future.
