Capcom has today confirmed that Pragmata, its upcoming new IP, has now gone gold ahead of its PS5 release in April.

This means work on the base 1.0 version of the game is complete and can be pressed to physical discs, while Capcom presumably prepares a day one patch. The game's out on 17th April 2026 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.

"Pragmata has received gold master approval! While expressing our gratitude to everyone who has supported us so far, we are delighted to be able to report this milestone," Capcom said in a social media post. "Just a little while longer until release. The development team is looking forward to the day when we can deliver Pragmata to all of you."

The new IP out of Capcom is one of the last remaining games from the PS5's Future of Gaming livestream back in 2020 that's yet to release — another being Little Devil Inside. Whether it'll be worth the nearly six-year wait is definitely up for debate, but it does seem at least like Pragmata is a high-quality title.

We have played bits and pieces of the game over the past year and have always come away impressed. There's still a demo available on the PS Store, allowing you to test roughly 30 minutes of Pragmata and get a good gauge on the title yourself.
