Preview PS5's Most Promising 2026 Shooter Pragmata Is Starting to Take Shape
Dot hack
We’ve played PS5 shooter Pragmata three times now. It’s honestly quite rare these days to get so much hands-on time with a game prior to release, but we think Capcom’s desperate to communicate what sets its latest shooter apart. While on the surface it may look like yet another third-person action affair, as we’ve pointed out on a...
Preview Pragmata Goes Full Anime in Extended Gameplay Demo, And We Love It
Hacking our way through a few more minutes of Capcom's shooter
What else is there to say about Pragmata? We recently had the opportunity to play an extended gameplay demo of the upcoming Capcom shooter, and we still think it’s D’s knees. (D for Diana, the little android girl who’s on your back. Geddit?! Whatever.) The point is this is...
Preview Don't Sleep on Capcom's Pragmata, the Most Inventive PS5 Shooter in Years
It could be Hugh
If you think Pragmata looks like another plodding sci-fi shooter, then you’re dead wrong: this is one of the most promising TPS titles we’ve previewed in years. The game, originally announced alongside the PS5 and delayed heavily in the years since, revolves around one crucial gameplay mechanic: hacking. As the hulky spaceman...
Pragmata News
Double down
The beauty of uber-promising PS5 shooter Pragmata is its “rub your tummy pat your head” gameplay gimmick, featuring dual protagonists Hugh and Diana. For those who don’t know – and you really should by now – this is a largely traditional sci-fi third-person shooter with a twist: each time you aim your weapon over an enemy,...
News Pragmata Devs Explain Why the PS5 Game Has Taken So Long to Make
"There was so much trial and error"
Pragmata finally releases for PS5 in 2026, and it's taken an awfully long time to get there. In new comments from the developer, we now have slightly more context for why it's taken so long to make. Publisher Capcom announced Pragmata in 2020's PS5 Future of Gaming show, where it was pegged for release in 2022...
News PS5's Most Exciting Upcoming Shooter Pragmata Levels Up in New Trailer
Another layer
Now Capcom’s successfully established what makes Pragmata stand out from the slew of other third-person shooters released over the past two decades, it’s beginning to layer new information on top. This latest trailer from the publisher’s Online Special Program showcases how dual-protagonists Hugh and Diane can use a sanctuary...
News Here's Your Best Look Yet at PS5's Ultra Promising Pragmata
A sensational shooter
Pragmata is, as far as we’re concerned, one of the more promising upcoming PS5 games. The long-in-development shooter has a very unique gimmick, where you need to complete simple puzzles during combat in order to hack your enemies. This brings down their defences, making them more susceptible to your attacks. But while we...
News Here's Your Best Look Yet at PS5 Shooter Pragmata's Unique Gunplay Gimmick
Hacked off
Pragmata’s not due out until 2026, so Capcom still has plenty of time to communicate what makes it special. But this new trailer will give you your best look at the title’s puzzle-based gunplay yet. We already wrote about the loop extensively in our preview of the sci-fi shooter, but for those looking for direct feed gameplay, this...
News Just What Is Going on in Capcom's Long-Delayed PS5 Game Pragmata, Then?
Dovetailing protagonist the central mechanic
Pragmata lives, and will release on the PS5 next year. It’s a remarkable conclusion for the game which was announced alongside Sony’s current system in 2020, as many had expected it to be quietly abandoned like Deep Down during the PS4 era. The title is being directed by Cho Yonghee, a former concept...
News Capcom's Pragmata Resurfaces with New Trailer, Out for PS5 in 2026
It's real XD
Originally revealed years ago, Capcom's PS5 title Pragmata has resurfaced with a new trailer as part of the newest State of Play livestream. It's now slated for 2026, and you can catch the new trailer above. Described as a blend of "action and strategy", it looks like you'll have control of both the astronaut in the trailer and the...
News PS5 Title Pragmata Finally Reappears Only to Confirm an Indefinite Delay
Prag-nada
Back before the PS5 released, one of the games featured in its major pre-launch showcase was Capcom's Pragmata. Roughly three years later, we've still yet to see anything meaningful about the game. Well, during the publisher's showcase today, it looked like we were finally getting an update, and, erm, we sort of did. In a new video,...
News Capcom Reiterates Pragmata 2023 Delay with Weird Little Video
We don't know why
Look, we don't even really know what Pragmata is. The seemingly sci-fi Capcom project was first announced during Sony's PlayStation 5 reveal event, and we've seen bugger all of it since. Back then, it was targeting a 2022 release date (it seemed so far away!), but at the start of this year, Ca
News Capcom's Promising Pragmata Making 'Steady Progress' on PS5
A new frontier
Pragmata was one of the tentpole trailers debuted during Sony’s big PlayStation 5 reveal event, but we’ve not heard a whole lot about the curious Capcom project since. Speaking as part of its financial report, however, the Japanese firm has confirmed that the
