You may recall last year, Ecco the Dolphin creator Ed Annunziata announced plans to remaster the franchise’s original two Genesis titles, and create a third all-new instalment.
Now a new website has launched along with word that “several new Ecco the Dolphin products and games” are in production. It’s worth noting that development is being led by a Californian studio named A&R Atelier, under license from series owner SEGA.
Annunziata said in a press release:
“It has been years in the making and we’re honoured to bring Ecco back. Ecco has always been more than a game about a dolphin – he’s a bridge between worlds.”

There’s no further information about what the studio has in store, but more announcements will apparently be made on the game’s aforementioned official website, which you can find through here.
A countdown on the page is pointing to 22nd April, so presumably we’ll learn more then.
