Milestone’s utterly outstanding anime-inspired racer Screamer will boost to PS5 on 26th March, and here’s your first taste of its narrative.
For those who don’t know, this game mixes arcade action with a throwback 90s-style story, where five teams of ragtag racers all go head-to-head in a futuristic tournament.
Here’s how the blurb summarises it:
“Longing, ambition, vengeance. Everyone has a reason to enter the Screamer tournament, and no one’s backing down. Join the competition and race side by side with fearless drivers, ready to push past every limit to chase what they believe in.”

The game’s really pushing the genre forward with some innovative new mechanics, all centred around a risk/reward special gauge named Echo, which serves as your boost, shield, and offence all in one place.
We should add, there’ll be a Standard Edition ($59.99/£59.99) and a Digital Deluxe Edition ($69.99/£69.99) at launch. Both versions will come with a ‘Chromed Style Pack’, while the more expensive option will include an ‘Iridescent Style Pack’ and three-days early access as well.
