If you thought one January free-to-play open world epic in the form of The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin was already too many, then brace yourself for Arknights: Endfield, which is releasing as a PS5 console exclusive a few days prior.
The title, which is getting its big PlayStation technical test this month, announced its 22nd January release date with a performance from OneRepublic.
You can pre-register your interest in the game via the PS Store now.
There’s also a pre-order bundle available for $9.99/£7.99 which includes a variety of in-game items, although we don’t usually recommend these as they tend not to represent good value for money.

For those out of the loop, this is an open world RPG similar in many ways to Genshin Impact. However, its big twist is that it’s packing automation factory-building elements, similar to the likes of Satisfactory.
We should have a lot more to share about this game over the coming weeks.

How am I meant to play all these games?
Another unending liveservice game im not even going to watch .😅
I had one game i played the whole time and im done with it makes gaming a chore.
Jesus not another gotcha wallet game. People complain there's too many souls like games saturating the market but these things are like a virus spreading..
@Northern_munkey I have to agree with you if it goes on like this why even buy a console just play on your mobile.
Nopety nope nope. It does look cool, but knowing what I know now about how time consuming these games are, and how they are cynically designed to keep you playing every day, I can't in good conscience start another one.
I'm now down to just Genshin and WuWa, and that's already too much, but have freed up time to play so many better games on my backlog over the last few months. My PlayStation wrap-up was far too focused around these games and that needs a better balance.
@get2sammyb You're not meant to play them all. Worse these games take up so much time that the opportunity cost of putting 400 hours into one of these each year versus maybe 10 other games is a poor deal. We all know this in our hearts, right? But do it anyway.
No banner progress carryover and lack of 50/50 are a major turn off in this day and age. The game itself looks amazing visually and there's a lot of representation here (native speaker voice actors) but I don't think that'll be enough for me to jump into a more predatory Gacha than I've gotten used to with ZZZ and similar.
