Update []: Ubisoft’s highly anticipated Prince of Persia: Sands of Time remake will release on 16th January, according to Insider Gaming’s reliable Tom Henderson.
The snoop had previously suggested the title would launch in mid-January, and has since narrowed down the date to a little over six weeks away.
There’s still some debate over whether the title will be re-revealed at The Game Awards, but that would make logical sense if the publisher plans to open pre-orders on the PS Store prior to Christmas.

A shadow drop is also possible but less likely, we suppose.
All indications suggest this title is basically done and coming out imminently, though. What a potentially fantastic start to the year.
Original Story: Ubisoft announced its remake of all-time PS2 classic Prince of Persia: Sands of Time over five years ago.
You may recall, the game was given a January 2021 release date, before a sequence of delays ended with the project being handed to a different developer entirely.
Ubisoft had said in its financial reports that the game will deploy prior to April 2026, and the reliable Tom Henderson from Insider Gaming has now narrowed that window down.
The well-connected snoop claims the title will arrive in mid-January, meaning it’s a little over a month away.
There’s some speculation we may see a trailer at The Game Awards on 12th December, which would make sense if the French publisher wants to open pre-orders and isn’t planning a shadow drop.
Prince of Persia: Sands of Time is widely regarded as one of the greatest platformers of all-time, with its unique time manipulation mechanics giving it an identity all of its own.
