EA has today shared a first look at the sort of content that'll keep you coming back to play Battlefield 6 now that it's out on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Just over two weeks after the release, from 28th October, the game's Season 1 batch of content begins to roll out. The overall roadmap is split into three sections, with the first landing next week, the second on 18th November, and the third on 9th December.

From 28th October, you gain access to a new map called Blackwell Fields and a new 4v4 mode named Strikepoint. You can catch a taste for the imminent action in the gameplay trailer above.

Players only get one life per round in Strikepoint, so it’s essential to play carefully, stick with teammates, and watch for ambushes. Victory in a round is attained when a team either captures the objective or eliminates the other squad, and the first team to win six rounds takes the match. Strikepoint is a tough mode that hardcore players are sure to love, where tactical awareness, good strategies, and clear communication are all essential to taking down a win.

Alongside the new map and mode will be another vehicle to take into the battlefield, three additional guns (SOR-300SC, GGH-22, and Mini Scout), and additional attachments. This is all available from 28th October.

Then, in the second Season 1 drop on 18th November, there'll be another set of new maps and modes: Eastwood is the map and Sabotage is a limited-time mode. "An 8v8 mode coming with California Resistance, Sabotage gives you one of two objectives: destroy boxes of equipment scattered across a small, close-quarters map, or prevent the opposing team from doing so. Teams switch between offense and defense, with the team that destroys the most equipment winning the match."

Season 1 is concluded by a third and final update that adds a "limited time event map" called Ice Lock Empire State. You will be able to play another time-limited mode named Ice Lock on it. All the content is delivered for free, and while it has not been confirmed yet, the Battle Royale mode is also speculated to be releasing on 28th October too.

Here are some screenshots of the new maps:

All this content works to improve and expand a multiplayer effort from Battlefield Studios that is proving to be one of 2025's best. There should also be a Battle Pass released at some point during Season 1, though it's not mentioned as part of today's announcements.
