Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will be the next PS5 game to get a fully playable trial through PS Plus Premium.
Kojima Productions' latest only released a couple of months back — exclusively on Sony's current-gen system — so this is a somewhat timely follow-up. If you're yet to be sold on the story-driven, traversal-heavy adventure, then this five-hour taster could be worth checking out.
That said, we're not totally sure how much value you'll get out of the first five hours of Death Stranding 2. While certainly not as restrictive as the first game in terms of introductory gameplay structure, you'll still be watching a lot of cutscenes and learning the ins and outs of the title's central mechanics.
But look, we think Death Stranding 2 deserves as much attention as it can get. As far as we're concerned, it's a clear candidate for Game of the Year — as evidenced by our 'outstanding' 10/10 review.
The five-hour trial drops next week, on the 19th August, alongside the latest PS Plus Extra and Premium update.
