Fate Extra Record Delay

Fate/Extra Record has been hit with another delay, having previously been targeting a 2025 release.

Publisher Bandai Namco and developer Type-Moon have confirmed that it's now dropping in spring of next year (and that's with fingers very much crossed).

If you've been keeping up with this project, you'll probably be used to this kind of disappointment by now. Fate/Extra Record was first announced back in 2020, as a full remake of Fate/Extra — a PSP RPG that went on to become a bit of a cult classic.

But over the last five years, we've seen so little of the game itself. Several trailers have given us an idea of what to expect, but that promised 2025 launch date was looking increasingly unlikely given the lack of actual footage.

Still, Bandai Namco's just announced a bunch of special editions for Japan, so you'd assume there's a clear deadline this time around. Here's hoping that Fate/Extra Record really does see the light of day in 2026.
