Potentially not satisfied its fanbase fully understands what Elden Ring Nightreign is about, FromSoftware has released a lengthy new trailer that provides a deep dive into the game as a whole. Across 10 minutes of gameplay, the developer covers how the co-op-focused experience works.

Anyone who's kept up with the release since its announcement will know it's an online game structured around a three-day phase where you level up, gather better loot, and fight bosses while staying inside a Battle Royale-like ring. All these details are covered in-depth in the trailer above.

Elden Ring Nightreign comes to PS5 and PS4 on 30th May 2025, and we got to play the game early a couple of months ago. "Some may see the experience as a lesser or shallower release compared to the developer’s past work, but to do so is to ignore the pinpoint balancing act of speeding everything up whilst still retaining that Elden Ring feel," we said.

"After nearly seven hours with the game on PS5, we feel like we’ve barely scratched the surface and we can’t wait to sink our teeth into what will undeniably be one of the most interesting multiplayer releases of 2025."

It launches at a reduced price of £34.99 / $39.99 for the base version. Are you looking forward to playing Elden Ring Nightreign at the end of the month? Let us know in the comments below.
