A brand new One Piece game has just been announced for both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. One Piece Odyssey is an RPG and will feature an original story penned by One Piece author Eiichiro Oda. It's also set to release at some point in 2022, so we probably won't be waiting long for additional information.
We're hoping that One Piece Odyssey is better than the last One Piece adventure title to sail into PlayStation waters — One Piece World Seeker. The 2019 open worlder was one of the weakest licensed anime games we played on PS4 — but our initial impressions of Odyssey are a lot more positive.
It's unclear what kind of RPG Odyssey actually is, but the official website confirms that you won't just be playing as Luffy. "Defeat new enemies, unravel mysteries, and unearth a whole adventure with your favorite Straw Hats! In addition to Luffy, you can play as Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji, Chopper, Robin, Frankie, and Brook!" it says.

It’s a turn based JRPG by ILCA who also made last year’s pokemon remakes. Doesn’t bode well but from what I gathered the poke remakes had less then a year of total development including pre production and this games had a few years of active development.

Looks very Dragon Quest 11-ish which is to be expected considering the developers and that's amazing. I really hope this turns out great. One piece deserves to have a good game that isn't a musou
Very interested to see more of this. Dragon Quest Tales of and Blue Dragon vibes for me and anything like those games and I'm interested. Would like to have seen Switch included on the list though as I feel this type of games are great on handhelds

I'm actually pretty knew to the series, im only at the part when luffy gets nami.
But I knew about he's crew for the longest time, and I got world seeker, and er, it was just 8$ but um, idk how I feel about that game just yet.

New One Piece RPG hype ! I won't be buying this day one, but will definitely buy it during a big sale.
After chapter 1044, it was fantastic marketing to announce this. I haven’t played World Seeker (I think that’s the name) but have it sitting on my hard drive. The Warrior games are fantastic and Burning Blood was fun to a point. Since this seems to be turn base, I’m excited to see where it goes! One Piece seems weird to be turn base but I’m down for it. I wish Jump Force switched it up and was turn base with major customization and skills/abilities for the characters. Could’ve been excellent. Oh well, I’m excited to learn more about this! Can’t wait for 1045 this weekend though 😎😎😎😎
