The CD Projekt RED marketing article confirming Cyberpunk 2077 patch 1.3 is on its way wasn't very impressive, but at least the full list of fixes, updates, and tweaks headed to the RPG is a lot more comprehensive. The headline addition is the very first bit of free DLC, which takes the form of some new cosmetic items to equip. Alongside them will be a very long list of improvements to the overall game as well as fixes for glitches within quests and gigs.
The update is said to be coming to PS4 "soon". We would be here all day if we were to share the entire patch notes list so we've highlighted some of the standouts below.
Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 1.3 - Free DLC
- Johnny Silverhand's Alternative Appearance – can be enabled in Settings in the "Additional Content" tab.
- Multilayered Syn-Leather Deltajock Jacket, Luminescent Punk Jacket — both available in the stash in V's apartment after receiving a message from Viktor after completing The Ride. They're of Rare/Iconic quality by default, Crafting Specs to craft a higher quality will also be unlocked.
- Archer Quartz "Bandit" — available as a reward or for purchase (depending on choices made by player) after completing Ghost Town and then receiving a message from Dakota or Rogue. If you haven't received the message, make sure to be in the Badlands area and move further away from Dakota's workshop. Dakota will also need a couple of days to contact you.

'[PlayStation] NPCs will no longer speak after being killed.'
That didn't take long. Words fail me.
I’ll wait for the PS5 version before I head back into the land of disappointment.
Just release the Witcher update already and stop wasting your time on this CDPR. I'm beyond disappointed in this project and im tired of hearing about it until there is a ps5 version they should go radio silent.
Even with this patch it wasn’t ready for release. Looks like a good release date is theirs Xmas in hindsight…
Weak patch. How can they do so little in such a long time?
@romenyc It’s worth noting that The Witcher 3 PS5 version is being done by Saber Interactive, not CDPR.
Surprised we still haven't heard anything on the native PS5 version yet. Wonder when that's going to be ready.
@Marquez Not gonna lie, this one and "Rogue will no longer clip through Johnny and will hold the glass correctly" made me giggle a little
@LiamCroft
Thanks
@Korgon 2022… we will see. I hope it still will be released this year.
So the DLC isn't even any more story or quests, just items?
I cant wait to try the new outfits that will instantly disappear off my floating dickless protagonist .
Until a stable, PS5 version of this is available it shouldn’t even be considered for purchase by anyone
Just ordered a copy from Best Buy for $10 😎 I'm excited to check out Bug City.
Minimap zoom while driving is huge. Hard to drive full speed with it so zoomed in. One of bigger fixes I was hoping for
Flogging a dead horse.
This is brilliant ….. more clothes for a character I never see , this is exactly what I was hoping for ….my faith has been restored , there is a god … awesome 😭😭😭😭😭
A shame but I'd lose more respect for them if they just abandoned the title. At least they're still trying to fix it. Keep the fixes and updates free, give it another year and a PS5 release and it should finally be worth it.
I was so ready to restart and finally lose myself in this game after the two initial 2021 patches seemed to hint at big changes but a mixture of other games as well as the growing feeling I’d just be better off waiting for the PS5 update has me writing this mid August and knowing that I’ll definitely do the latter and just hope I don’t have to wait too long and even more titles take precedence. And to think back to November last year when my Day One PS5 arrived and the biggest game in my mind was last gen. such a shame as I really enjoyed the game narrative and there is definitely a good if not great game in there somewhere. It’s just been drowned amidst all the negativity, letdowns, glitches and last gen malarkey. Should have always have been a PS5 launch title as I’m sure even then there’d have still been teething issues …
Bug ridden and broken, that is all this game will be remembered for 😏😏😏
They don't care about the PS4 version anyways at this point, whatever is more easier to code is what helps them, I'm feel sorry for the peeps who paid retail price or collection edition prices for this abomination!
I look at the prices for the retail version and I feel disgusted by how broken this game is when they want me to spend full retail price! No way! Not happening! Even the pc version which is what I want to focuz on is playable and it's so sad!
Nothing about that random traffic effect when you're on the highway? Or was that addressed in a previous patch by any chance?
Nothing takes me out of the setting more than seeing tail lights a mile ahead appear and disappear over and over.
So the free dlc was just cosmetics....
Colour me unimpressed. Now il clarify I haven't played the game as ive been holding out for the native ps5 upgrade for the best chance to get full enjoyment from the game. However after 8 months the only dlc you offer is new clothes. I get the team are probably exhausted, first the crunch and then all the work to get the game in a better state but i feel they shouldve held off on the dlc til a story expansion or even a new side story. Feel like these outfits will not go down well
@Shepherd_Tallon they can have all the bells and whistles the game is still broken and rushed! It will show till more than a decade, smdh I can play games from 20 years ago and they still function 🙄🙄
@Danloaded anything out of desperation to get the gamers in! No focus just hype and population!
@Danloaded I honestly feel sorry for day 1 players who brought this game day one and paid the full price for this horrendous trash! Especially CE owners too this whole situation is horible!
Another huge patch, hopefully they can now begin adding to the game and improving it more than just bug fixing.
Pretty underwhelmed by the DLC though, bit embarrassing to call it that.
I....
Er...
I'm stuck for words.
The fact this patch contains so little is amazing. It's actually one of those things where you have to question if it's even a good idea to release it.
@RS1 did you read the patch notes? How can you say it contains so little?
@Korgon I’m hoping still 2021, but I doubt it.
I bought Cyberpunk 2077 day one, if i had to do it all over again I would still make that purchase! I did 100% of all 3 factions with every side quest. The only issue I had was the random crashes yes I hated them. When I moved over to PS5 to play two of the factions they were far less often. If Cyberpunk was bug free it would have been Game of the Year.
@huyi sadly I was one of those special edition day 1 ps4 buyers. Never making that mistake again.
Tell me you don’t want people to buy your games ever again without telling me you don’t want people to buy your games ever again. It’s like they’re having a moron convention over there or something
@kingbreww it wouldnt of done this bad if the game was multiplayer .
@Slippship
Yes its plays very well on PS5, i wish their was more npcs though like the xsx. But it plays pretty flawless for frame rate on ps5. May wait for ps5 version to play again
They need to populate the city with traffic and NPC's. Night City doesn't feel like one of the last standing megacities but rather like a mid-western strip mall on a slow Monday.
@nomither6 lol omg hahaha. Imagine these buffoons trying to run servers 😂😂😂
@romenyc It's also worth noting that people bought the current gen versions and deserve a game close to what is promised and as such, should also be updated with each change they make to improve upon the mess they released. (Coming from someone who didn't buy the game)
@ankehuber To be fair the free Witcher 3 DLC was stuff like this to begin with, then you got a few side quests later.
CDPR has shown their true colors. There is no going back from that. There continued level of communication and action regarding this game and supposed upcoming releases and updates only reaffirms that.
They are just another part of the problem now. I could care less what they put out going forward, just as I feel about EA, Activision Blizz, and Ubisoft.
Don't think I need to go to the supermarket to get my salt
Free DLC. Hmm… why do I feel like this is kind of like offering a cup of water to someone who’s drowning.
@Jayofmaya This might be true but CDPR needs to give more substantial updates that show effort. These half-baked fixes are not even worth the version number change honestly.
honestly the story was pretty interesting it was just the other stuff like game play or ai that was under whelming.
Ya know I initially thought it to be weird that the userbase wasn't content with everything added here. But after seeing the car I totally get it.
Maybe I'll pay $9.99 for this once it's out of beta.
The game was and is the biggest gamer-prank of all time. Every patch is a cherry on top of the bad smelling cake. I am sick of reading through this ***** patchnotes... bring a polished stable and playable PS5 version otherwise shut the f*** up.
I started playing this again last night, there are bits where you are involved in the story that feel great but man that city feels so empty. I may hold off carrying on for this patch, I know it won’t fix the emptiness but may as well have latest version of ive waited this long.
I've now waited so long I'll just wait for a ps5 and then I'll play it on there.
@Cyxn1d3 the dlc strategy is the same as Witcher 3, some free cosmetics and weapons, maybe a mission or two, and then significant paid for expansions. This has not changed since the beginning so not sure why you are upset by that.
@Orpheus79V nicely remembered, promising then.
It's frankly astonishing the game released without some of these "improvements".
@Justcheckedin lol I bet that's a sentence you'd never ever thought you'd write 🤣🤣
@Robinsad I've completed it once on a fairly quick playthrough with loads of side missions left. The amount of times I've started a new game only for a substantial patch to come out I've decided to wait now for the native ps5 version that will have the benefit of these patches, nicer visuals and hopefully a much denser population in the city. The recent digital foundry comparison of xbox and PS is pretty stark in terms of the number of npc's, although we (ps5 bc) do get a better framerate
One thing that CDPR could do for Cyberpunk 2077 that will greatly improve the future of the game is to create a third person perspective mode.
It could be like an "out of combat" mode, where the player could just walk around in 3rd person with a limited choices of action. When the shooting action starts it would quickly go back to first person (fps) perspective. If they were able to also let the player do fights (brawling) in 3rd person it would be even greater, but I think that is already pushing to far for this game. This 3rd person mode could also allow the player char to do poses (emotes) and etc. selected by the player. It would also let the player interact with furniture, like sitting on a chair/sofa and having a drink/meal etc. in 3rd person.
This would be such a dramatic evolution to Cyberpunk 2077 that CDPR could very well create a whole expansion for the game based on these new functionalities. Maybe with a new storyline, side quests and new mini-games involving the fashion modeling business in Night City, TV/social media celebrity lifestyle, baindances (just some themes that came to mind...)
@KingPev its also what's going to be put on my grave stone
40.5GB 'patch' btw
Increased total size to 107.8GB
So only about 4 gig or so on top.
Brendan the vending machine is finally talking to me again, woohoo... Would've been cool to redistribute attribute points.. So I need another walkthrough for the platinum. Game seems to run a lot smoother now on PS5 (also menus are less laggy). Bur still no traffic on the streets while driving around and way too few pedestrians...
@itsfoz I follow. This patch removed a fair amount of graphical fidelity in order to perform better on base PS4. As a result it suddenly looks beyond terrible on PS5 as well. Streets have no reflections anymore and distant buildings look horribly low poly. I spent 200 hours in it and accepted it's shortcomings, but this is annoying the crap out of me. I guess more downgraded stuff will follow, so i feel forced to shelf the game for now. Stupid CDPR, they could have added an option to choose between PS5/PS4...
On one hand they shouldn’t have released a half finished game.
On the other hand the sustained campaign of whining from entitled gamers every time it was delayed obviously forced their hand.
I wonder if the lame-asses who threatened to boycott a game THEY CHOSE to pre-order, have ever had a real problem in their lives..
Maybe having zero patience is not such a great idea.. who would have thought?? 🙄
They might as well shelve the multiplayer, this game will still be needing patches in 2022
This whole time they left people waiting and this is all they did? I'll wait for the PS5 version and I'm not even that enthusiastic for that either in all honesty.
