Update: Assassin's Creed Valhalla's new update is available to download now on PS5 and PS4. On PS5, the update version is 1.030, and it's 4.7GB in size.
Original Story: Assassin's Creed Valhalla's next big update will release on the 27th July. Not only does patch 1.3.0 add support for The Siege of Paris — the game's second expansion, launching next month — it also features a new level scaling system, and finally brings one handed swords to the adventure via the latest festival.
Said festival begins on the 29th July, and one of the rewards for partaking in its activities is a one handed sword. Finally!
What's more, patch 1.3.0 includes six new skills to unlock (all of which sound very handy), as well as a list of gameplay improvements and bug fixes. The update will be around 7GB on PlayStation 5, and between 15 and 24GB on PlayStation 4, depending on your region. You can find the full patch notes below.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla Update 1.3.0 Patch Notes
The Siege of Paris – Expansion 2
Added support for The Siege of Paris, preparing the game for the expansion release on August 12. (a separate download is required on release day.)
Sigrblot Festival
- Sigrblot Festival is a new time-limited event from July 29-August 19.

Level Scaling
- We added a new menu option to the game to adjust NPC levels to your liking. You may choose from the following options:
- Off = Scaling is turned off; enemies appear exactly as prescribed in the region description.
- Default = Lower enemies are brought up to 30 power levels under the player’s level (How the game is intended to be played).
- Constant = Enemies will be at least the same power level of the player.
- Harder = Enemies will be 20+ power levels above the player.
- Nightmarish = Enemies will be 50+ power levels above the player.
- Note: Boss encounters and game modes will not be impacted by this as they have their own intended difficulty settings.

Sounds good. Got game cheap from a friend who won a copy and didn't want it, now just waiting for season pass go on sale for good discount before i commit.
So, does that mean if we don't partake in this festival, we'll never get another chance at getting the one handed sword?
I will try out this game soon........I have had it since launch but with the additions i don't see the point in playing it untill they stop updating same with No man's Sky.....I think from now on I will play my back log and wait for new releases to be out for at least a year before i bite.
@Icey664 Nah, one handed swords are going to be in The Siege of Paris as well. Also assume that this particular one handed sword will be made available later, even if you didn't take part in the festival. Ubisoft has re-released festival rewards before.
After the last Jimquisition i will be staying even further away from this company.
@Flaming_Kaiser Better stay away from most gaming companies as well as film studios and well pretty much anything where a corp is involved. I'm not defending Ubi i think they're scum but so is 95% of gaming companies, if i was to boycott Ubi due to moral issues i would have to boycott pretty much most things where a Corp is involved because otherwise i'm a hypocrite something Jim has yet to grasp or refuses to think about because they know they would have to give up nearly everything they enjoy entertainment wise, the fact Jim is heavily involved with the wrestling industry and supports it kinda gives their opinions less weight on the matter.
@ShogunRok
Ah that's good, thanks for letting me know:)
What about restoring my rainbow raven, as mine has disappear from my store :-/
So, the game is finally fully released. It only took them 7 months, Ubisoft is getting faster!
I wish they would redo the level scaling descriptions…I feel like Off and Default and Constant are sort of the same? They seem kinda vague compared to the very clear Harder and Nightmarish descriptions.
@WallyWest I dont know many companies besides Ubisoft and Activision Blizzard that have to deal with rapists and dont act on it. Activision had a female worker that committed suïcide because of the abuse now tell that is not a big issue.
Finally they fixed those world events so I can actually 100% this game now
@Number09 kinda strange position as for me. Valhalla's DLC's are mostly independent story arcs, you don't even need to complete the original storyline to enjoy them. Don't you play e.g. Diablo/Path of Exile/Destiny/Borderlands or other games supported with additional content for several years after release? It's the modern reality, that most of the games get a plenty of changes and additions afterwards to boost sales and keep people entertained.
They still haven't fixed where no red skull enemies appear even when I'm on level 1. So can't get the overdesign ii trophy. Not really a trophy person but after doing everything, would be nice to finish it off.
@Trs451 this happened to me awhile back when I was playing it first few weeks after release, what worked for me was set your level like 30 or something ,so you got some abilities do this at your home camp then fast travel . Go Hampshire at North Gate or a similar area at 150 + power, if they are not red skulls relog and check again this worked for me. You can also try highering the actual game difficulty, but this just makes it even harder as the enemy's are " Smarter"
@Uromastryx I have raised the games difficulty level with no abilities and no armour. Still won't show red skulls. I will try the method you've mentioned and hope it works for me.
