Anime Streaming App Funimation Overhauled on PS5, PS4

Still no Wakanim App...

recently signed up, offer probably expired now but they were offering 3 free months, play at home might be a different or updated offer, I'm sure the one I applied expired very recently

I watched most of anime on youtube (muse asia) and netflix now, crunchy roll is useless, I don't know about funanimation.

I feel Disney+ needs an overhaul on PS5.
It worked fine at launch, but lately the audio is out of sync (have no issues with other services on PS5) and the subtitles are now suddenly massive taking up like a 3rd of the screen and stretched.
Need options to choose subtitle styles.

Maybe they should have added this to Plus.
I would be interested but, unfortunately, I have little enough time for my favourite pastime of videogames, and the wife is not an anime fan so cutting into our joint TV time is a no go

@Perryg92 the Apple TV app on ps5 crashes often when browsing the store, literally end up having to pull the power cord out to restart it, generally it works perfectly but navigating the store crashes it for some reason

It's the same as switch version, not really the best it's weird when you go back from an episode it just shows the thumbnail etc. Personal preference though I guess

@wiiware Im happy with Crunchy Roll for Hero Academia and One Punchman alone when will ever see season 3 of that its so much better then any Dragonball series.

@Flaming_Kaiser In my country crunchy rolls anime availability is so low that it's better to watch anime (legally) on youtube or netflix.

The PlayStation website said the offer expired last week so I assumed I missed my chance. Is this article saying it's actually still up and available?

I agree things should be rolled out globally were possible, but somebody having it doesn’t make your not having it any worse.

I'll see how this goes then. The previous app was absolutely dreadful. I thought it was my bad internet before, but now I have much better speeds and it has still been awful. So fingers crossed!

On the one hand the Funimation trial has introduced me to a bunch of dubbed (I'm basic) anime that I now love. My Hero Academia, and Love is War are just as good as people said.

On the other hand, the Funimation app has barely functioned on any decide I use, console, phone or PC. There have been multiple days where I've just had to give up because nothing will play.

This app still sucks. It's loading is horrible. Some of the pictures a bit too small, but other than that the layout is fine. They just need to hire some people who actually know how to make things freaking load, because I couldn't access any anime on my queue past the 20th or so. A 5th of what I've tossed on there for a rainy day.

@Flaming_Kaiser I still want to watch the anime lol. Anyone who’s used funimation for the at least the trial period knows this stuff is gonna happen lol. It’s still a very worthwhile subscription, especially since I’m grandfathered in at $6 a month.

Just updated the app and it's absolutely broken. Nothing in my queue, search doesn't work, never-ending loading, and to top it off it's telling me my subscription is due this month even though I got 3 free months. Yeah nah the app was already crap but this is just bs.
