Operation: Tango has just been announced for both PlayStation 5 and PS4, and it looks pretty cool. It's an asymmetrical co-op game in which one plays a spy and the other supports as a hacker. With different gameplay and perspectives for each role, it seems like a really interesting way to team up with a buddy.
With different views on the same situation, you'll need to communicate effectively with your partner to work through various puzzles. One example given on the PS Blog is that the spy will need to place down tiles on a grid, which the hacker then "walks" across in the digital world in order to disable a vault lock.
It's certainly an interesting premise — we're definitely keen to give this a shot when it launches in the Spring. Cross-play means that the PS5 and PS4 versions are compatible too, so you can enjoy it with a friend regardless of which console they have.

There was a hacker plus spy game on Steam that I heard good things about and never got around to. I like that this is maaaybe trying to channel some No One Lives Forever (god rest it's soul in license hell) energy. Definitely interested, I have one friend who I like to play asym co-ops with.
