Publisher Aspyr has today unveiled its plans to bring another fondly remembered Star Wars title to the PlayStation 4. Star Wars: Republic Commando is the latest to join the lineup of classic Star Wars titles, joining the ranks alongside Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, Jedi Academy, and Episode I: Racer.

On April 6th, you'll be able to don the helmets of the elite Mandalorian Delta Squad, fighting your way through some of the biggest battles of the Clone Wars. The game was ahead of its time back in 2005, delivering tactical squad-based combat in an easily digestible formula. It should be interesting to see how this fares against some of the modern shooters that evolved from it. And you'll be able to experience it all again with a modernised control scheme on PS4.

The title's going to debut at $14.99, the same price as all of Aspyr's previous Star Wars ports, and we could not be more excited. These ports have been rousing successes, and getting to experience the golden age of Star Wars gaming is always a treat.
