Dreams Highlights Feature Christmas PS4 PlayStation 4 1

We're huge fans of Dreams here at Push Square Towers, but it's difficult to define what this PlayStation 4 exclusive is. With the possibilities almost limitless, the variety of experiences available within this title is ridiculous. There's no way everyone will have time to play everything.

If you're simply looking for some of the best stuff to play in Dreams, you've come to the right place. In this special Christmas edition feature, we're going to pick out some of our favourite festive creations, be they games or otherwise. While we're on the subject, you should follow Push Square Picks, our collection which holds all the below examples and plenty more. We've been updating it every now and again with new discoveries and will continue to do so. Be sure to check it out if you want to see what's impressed us.

Without further ado, let's take a closer look at some wintry and/or Christmassy Dreams creations.

Believe!

Dreams Highlights Feature Christmas PS4 PlayStation 4 2

Creator: hymen_trouble

This is an animated short, and a very silly one at that. It shows a conversation between two gingerbread people awaiting the arrival of Santa Claus. One's excited for him to come down the chimney and gobble them up, while the other is far more cynical about the whole thing. It's well worth a watch for some daft humour.

Decorating a Christmas Tree

Dreams Highlights Feature Christmas PS4 PlayStation 4 3

Creator: byvsen

Here's another animation, this time from the talented byvsen. The creator's signature characters, Green Guy and Bo, decorate a Christmas tree together, and that's about it. The thing is, it's just so darn cute. An ideal digital Christmas card to send to your fellow dreamers.

Dreamers Holiday Village 2020

Dreams Highlights Feature Christmas PS4 PlayStation 4 4

Creator: Zypher755

This is a particularly good one. A collaborative effort between lots of players, this is a very festive scene to wander through. Choose one of three jolly characters, then explore a snow-covered gingerbread village. After seeing everything from the ground, take the enormous spiral staircase up to find a gargantuan tree, decorated with baubles made by numerous community members.

Heavenly Castle

Dreams Highlights Feature Christmas PS4 PlayStation 4 5

Creator: Chris_Redwalker6

This one is less Christmassy, but it's got wintry vibes for days. Essentially a walking simulator, you make your way up a treacherous mountain to discover a massive castle atop the peak. It's quiet and melancholic, but the creation is a huge achievement. It's really a sight to behold, and well worth the climb.

Reindeer CHOMP CHOMP!

Dreams Highlights Feature Christmas PS4 PlayStation 4 6

Creator: beardofcats88

Now we're talking. As a reindeer, you walk around a snowy village, eating any food you can find. There are 20 snacks to chomp, and while some are pretty obvious, others are hidden behind simple puzzles. It's not particularly complicated, but it made us laugh, and what more do you need?

Snow Day

Dreams Highlights Feature Christmas PS4 PlayStation 4 7

Creator: VerbalCreative

Snow Day is another little game to get you in the holiday mood. After customising your character, you're free to ride your snow tube down the slippery slopes to your heart's content. It's simple, but sliding down the snow is quite satisfying, and there are several presents to collect if you're looking for more of a challenge.

Snowdrift

Dreams Highlights Feature Christmas PS4 PlayStation 4 8

Creator: Fleckromancer

To finish, we have one more non-interactive piece. Snowdrift is a gorgeous little scene, showing a snowy landscape, a cosy log cabin, and a river running through the middle. With smoke rising from the chimney, the sunlight hitting the snow, and a carol playing in the background, this is just lovely.

This is just a small selection of Dreams creations you can find in our Push Square Picks collection. Be sure to give it a follow, as we'll be updating it periodically as we continue to explore the game. What are some of your favourite creations? Let us know in the comments section below.
