Update: It took just seven or so hours for Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes to blast past its $1 million PS5 Stretch Goal. Further funding will now be invested in a culinary minigame ($1.25 million) and New Game + ($1.5 million). It's got well over 30 days to reach them.
Original Article: The Kickstarter campaign for Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is now live. Announced last week, this is a project spearheaded by veteran Suikoden developers. As such, Eiyuden Chronicle is being billed as a 'spiritual successor' to Konami's classic RPG series.
But here's the catch: newly formed team Rabbit & Bear Studios wants $500,000 to get the game on PC -- which is already quite a significant goal. But to get it on PlayStation 5, the campaign has to raise at least $1 million. You can check all the details on the official Kickstarter page.

I made a pledge for a physical copy.
It opened today and we are already over 50% for the first goal. Let's hope they reach 1mil for the ps copy.
Kickstarter page/link is down atm. So was the $1 million goal for all the console versions or did they start off with switch on a lower tier & elevate the ps5 to the upper tier then? Just seems curious that for a completion date of what was it 2022, switch will be the only current gen version. PS4 could easily handle anything the switch version had.
@Ashkorsair I'll get the PS4 version myself which will happen since the game'll definitely surpass the $1 million stretch goal by a hefty amount at this rate! π
@Robocod A PS4 version is part of the console stretch goal. π
Hmm. Donate $500,000 or become a PC gamer...
Better get saving.
It smashed trough the first goal in the first day. Awesome.
Are you watching Konami?
I'll upgrade my backing later this month.
Super stoked.
Already says Β£610,000 with 31 days to go!!
I donated a penny and wanted change.
1 mil already achieved. Crazy
@Ashkorsair I had no doubt it would do it. The coverage this got in the media was enormous. The creators give confidence, and the game itself builds on the nostalgia of Suikoden series and the success of Octopath Traveller - it's a potent mix. I supported it. First kickstarter game ever for me.
Very cool, I donβt support Kickstarters but was hoping for this one to make it. Should be great!
Suikoden and Suikoden 2 are in my top 10. Hopefully the game actually gets made. Not doing kickstarter though.
@KisekiFan7 Kickstarter page is back online, looks a bit vague other than next gen platforms but moot point as they smashed target. Fingers crossed the current gen versions don't encounter Vita/WiiU dev tool issues like Bloodstained did by then, but fingers crossed!
With any luck konami will dust off the older gen versions for a Castlevania compilation type basic port meantime. We know the ps4 has a psp type emulator much like the ps2 classics one so its possible in theory.
@finalstan this is my first computergame kickstarter so I'll see how it pans out.
I did do some magic the gathering kickstarters from John Avon and they delivered nicely.
Hope this one will to.
