Last month, Square Enix revealed that it had no plans to host any kind of online showcase to make up for the fact that there's no E3 this year. Instead, the Japanese publisher stated that it would like to promote its upcoming games individually when the time is right. And that time will soon be upon us, it seems.
The company now says that "several" projects will debut around July to August. There's no word on what these games will be, but it's clear that Square Enix has quite a lot to show us. We will of course keep you updated as we learn more.

Nier Automata 2 for PS5
i know it's not the game anyone wants from square Enix but i would dig a new tomb raider for ps5.
@jdv95 having played the most recent 2 for the first time this lock down, I'd very much like that too!
A FFVIIR part 2 tease is possible, probably announce the ps5 port of it too
Like I said before, they're releasing the FFVIIR World Preview book in September. If they have enough previews for a book, they can certainly make a trailer.
FF7 part 2 would be my highlight. Super hyped where they are taking this to.
They’re going to announce a release date for ffvii remake part 2 if you ask me. Summer 2021 also going to ps5 (k that last part is my wishful thinking because I’ll have a ps5 and I want to experience the second part on it 😉).

My guess is they'll focus on 7th gen remasters and remakes so like a FFXIII trilogy remaster.

Dragon quest XII
Octopath 2 or another RPG in that style.
Tomb Raider (preferably remakes of the old games but I’m sure that’s asking for too much).

I’m surprised this game hasn’t received a remaster or remake yet.
But, they DID have something for the group of "E3 but not E3" bunch of streams. Marvel's Avengers. And it was about 30 minutes. Was it a coincidence that they included that show on this particular date between so many other announcements and in-depth looks? It definitely counts.
Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 and Final Fantasy XIII Trilogy please! I never played FF13-2 or Lightning Returns: FF13, and am also hyped to continue the FF7 Remake story.
Also a surprise reveal of Final Fantasy XVI would be amazing! Maybe some more information on Kingdom Hearts: Memory of Melody too.
Finally, NieR Replicant and Nier Automata 2 news would be neat...you also can't forget about Project Athia, Deus Ex, and Dragon Quest 12/Heroes 3.
As for Tomb Raider, I'd rather they remake the original series from the ground up (no remasters/ports).

Drakengard is a diferent genre. It's a musou game.
The Nier series is an actual action rpg. That's what it's called. Not my fault you want to ignore the original even though it's a great game and it's even getting remastered soon. It's the Nier series. As far as i know Automata is a continuation of sorts from the first game.
You want a new Nier game. Nier 3 with the continuation of the plot.

Are you aware they did that a few years ago on the 360/ps3? It was called Tomb Raider anniversary.
I'm actually quite tired of the Tomb raider series. Rather they gave it a breather and gave us some legacy of kain.
