Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time was announced earlier this month, and it's looking pretty great. A direct sequel to Warped, this time-hopping platformer is a return to the roots of the series, with side-scrolling sections mixed with 3D corridor running and jumping. Beyond the reveal trailer and some snippets of raw gameplay, we've not seen all that much of the game itself.

Thankfully, IGN has come to the rescue with a short video containing a precious few minutes of new footage. In it, we see Crash tackling a pirate themed stage, and we're introduced to some new crates to smash. As pointed out in the video, a crate that emits fire and a crate containing a golden Wumpa fruit are present in this level. We also get a good look at Crash sliding along ropes Ratchet & Clank style, where you can see platforms and enemies on a lower level.

It's not much new footage, but we'll take what we can get. Fortunately, we can all get our hands on the full game in just a few months, on 2nd October 2020. Are you excited for Crash 4? Spin into the comments section below.
