Crikey, it seems like half the games on the EU PlayStation Store are in one deal or another right now. Sony's announced several new offers going live today on its digital storefront, and odds are there will be something here you've been waiting to be reduced.
Firstly, a sale focusing on EA titles includes Battlefield V, FIFA 19, Star Wars Battlefront 2, and many more from the publisher. And no, ANTHEM isn't in the mix.
Next up is an offer called PlayStation Presents, which seems to be all about smaller games. Some highlights here include Dead Cells, The Swords of Ditto, Guacamelee! 2, Minit, and so many others. Some decent PSVR titles are in here too, such as Sprint Vector and Statik.
The final two offers bring some real bargains to the table as well. For less than £13, you can get your hands on the likes of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, DOOM, and plenty more. The last sale takes things down even further, with games like Life Is Strange: Before the Storm Complete Season, Thumper, and Full Throttle Remastered for under £4.
The number of games going cheap is frankly ludicrous. Check out the PlayStation Blog post for the full rundown, then come back here and leave a comment to let us know what you're buying.

Well, there goes the PSN credit I received for my birthday.
It's not up yet
No reason to discount Anthem when it can be found for bargain prices already
Honestly, this is why I never use my Switch. I just had a look on the Nintendo shop to see if any of their games had entered the realms of reality in price yet, and obvs, they're still doing Wii U ports for like £50+. Then I see this and I'm like, well, there's another five games added to the already ridiculous PS4 backlog.
@BrettAwesome
Most are if you search for the titles
psvr titles? yummy
@Quintumply i have £8 credit plus i'm gonna get some more mulla later that someone else owes me, gonna have a look at the sale now.
just checked my wishlist and it's a miracle lol stuff that i've waited for a sale for, like yoku's express are now discounted, nice!
I’ve downloaded the Shyibuya Scramble demo. It looks like one of those games that could be fantastic or hilariously bad.
I’ll pick it up, if I enjoy the demo.
Still waiting on a discount for earth defence force 5
Just finished Life is Strange before the storm last night. What a wonderful extension of the LiS franchise!
Can anyone help me regarding PS Plus and trying to purchase a game that I had for free once?
I literally bought a month of Plus yesterday because my son wanted a free Fortnite skin on there (I realise that no longer effectively makes it free)! Now today there are two games I quite like (Disc Jam and Not a Hero) going cheap as chips in the sale. Unfortunately they are old Plus titles so I can't buy them with an active sub.
Is there ANY way around this? The sale ends 20th March and my sub doesn't end until 5th April!
428 Shibuya Scramble is rather tempting for me at £16. There's a few other visual novels already in my backlog, so I might hold off on buying it this time.
@TheIronChimp That's such an oversight on Sony's part. It's also out of order on the developer of the game who could have made some money out of a sale. Sony suck sometimes.
Divinity Original Sin for £6.49 is a must for any turn based RPG heads out there.
@Bliquid Aww.
@TheIronChimp
It’s not ideal as a workaround but could you set up another Account and buy it on that?
@johncalmc
I’m not sure how the race to the bottom on pricing is good for anyone, if publishers can’t make money off initial sales they look to DLC and Microtransactions. But specific to Nintendo, their main source of revenue is their own games. If they can sell them full price (rather than giving hem to bargain hunters backlogs for a lot less money) they would be crazy not to. They also hold their price which makes it easier to try their games knowing you can trade them in.
I’m sure it’s been said before but Titanfall 2 is brilliant. It’s £3.99 for the Standard Edition, £4.99 for the Ultimate Edition.
@electrolite77 The race to the bottom is one of those terms that is practically meaningless now because people keep using it incorrectly. It's not just about anything cheap. It refers to the practice of sacrificing the quality of a product that you're making in order to cut costs and undercut the competition. That's bad. This isn't that. We're not talking about that Mayo game here - which btw, is a perfect example of the race to the bottom, and why I think PSN needs to be better regulated by Sony before it turns into the iPhones app store. We're talking about big games at low prices which, unless you've got stock in the publisher, is obviously a good thing for you.
Publishers are going to release DLC and they're going to shoe horn microtransactions into their games regardless of how much money they make off the initial sales. It's not like Activision are sat looking at the ridiculous Call of Duty Whatever sales numbers and thinking, "Well, that's made a lot of money, so let's not bother putting microtransactions into this and making a shed-load more." They love money.
Sure, Nintendo can always sell their games for full price because Nintendo fans will buy literally anything, but that doesn't help the rest of us. And that's fine. It's not like I was desperate to buy Mario Kart 8 again. I just fancied doing a couple of laps. But I don't want to chuck £50 at a game I already own, not when PSN is doing a sale where I can get five games for half of that.
Hence, this is why I don't use my Switch very often.
@suikoden
Thanks 🙂 it's up now though
@electrolite77 has to be up there with the best 4 quid you could spend!! Bargain
I've seen these games cheaper Doom in January was £6.99, Wolfenstein has been £5 so there not very good sales if they can't match a sale from a month ago. Think I'll save my credit for something else
@ApostateMage Thanks for heads up, not heard of this before and reviews are very good. Looks fun.
Chasm for less than a tenner for the PS4 and PS Vita version? Yes please..
@johncalmc
“big games at low prices which, unless you've got stock in the publisher, is obviously a good thing for you.”
This is unsustainable. We don’t know for certain whether the push for DLC and MTX would have happened but if you have a userbase that expects to see games discounted hugely within months of launch and won’t buy at full price publishers are going to look for a way round that. Publishers aren’t going to keep pouring money into games if they don’t make money. They get attracted to the idea of GAAS because of he revenue stream it (theoretically) provides. It’s a tough one to accept because everyone wants cheap games and everyone wants to think that’s fine and has no aftereffects, but it does.
@TheIronChimp
I think I’m gonna go down that road. Sony seem to be cutting back a bit on what they’re offering with Plus anyway. As someone who isn’t a huge Online player the value is diminishing slightly over time.
