Anyone old enough to remember the infamous (and rubbish) Mega Drive brawler Shaq Fu will surely question the title’s return on modern consoles, but here it is, whether you like it or not. Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn is an all-new 2.5D beat ‘em up starring Shaquille O’Neal, and the trailer, embedded above, promises the game will be “better than the old one”.
In A Legend Reborn, you’ll be fighting various enemies with Shaq’s combos and an assortment of weapons, with the ability to transform into one of his alter egos - Big Daddy O and Big Diesel. Going by the trailer, it looks like a pretty bog standard beat ‘em up to us. Similarly to Bubsy: The Woolies Strike Back, this seems to be a sort of ironic, self-aware revival. Hopefully this one fares a little better.
Developer Saber Interactive is collaborating with Wired Productions to release a physical version of the game, which will launch for PS4 alongside the digital edition this spring. Are you dribbling with excitement for the return of Shaq Fu? Score a three-pointer in the comments below.

I like how it says "it sucked very much"
promises the game will be “better than the old one”
well it can't be any worse can it?
Please no.
Why? who pulled the trigger on this idea?
@Quintumply The original also came out on the SNES as well
The character animations were very well done as I recall.
