Final Fantasy XV Goes Off-Road with 8.65GB Patch

Oh geez. Just let this game be over already. Its not an MMO.

Just sold it back.

I ask this question every time there's news about Final Fantasy XV, but I'll try again: Are Square Enix finished with the PS4 Pro patch? What are the graphics options for PS4 Pro owners?

@Sinton they're kind of weird
they have three options I think
one of them focuses on a hard 60 fps - probably drops the image to 720p
one of them is 1080p but the frames wander around 40-45fps
and the other one focuses on a hard 30 fps - and the image is 1080p

((I'm probably wrong - because SE didn't tell us what we're clicking on in the options - it says like "performance" "hot dog" "impassible object meets unstoppable object" and I don't know what they mean - I also thought we'd be able to change the font size, and we aren't - which bums me out))

The post launch support has been impressive - I had more fun with the ranked time quests than I should - though it surely blends with the whole "game as a service" angle the software houses are adopting now to make you want to keep your game and not trade them in. It still is nice between DLC episodes.

So how big is Episode Prompto going to be if the patch to play it is 8.5GB?

I finished the story but stopped after that after crashing my flying car trying to land it in that otherwise unreachable area, but off road might get me back in.
Can we equip off-road and flying mods at the same time?

Most overrated game of the generation, imho.

@rjejr no but you can make the car jump so you might be able to get to that area without flying

I think Square should be applauded for the post game support though they do have more bigger games like FF VII and KH3 to work on.

@Sinton Emm... I'm not sure what @vitalemrecords said was entirely correct.

The game has three PS4 Pro options: High, Lite, and Steady. High offers an 1800p image with a consistent 30fps but SEVERE frame-pacing issues, so it never actually feels 30fps imo. Lite offers an uncapped framerate at 1080p (usually hovering around 45fps; can rarely reach 60fps but usually never drops below 35). Steady offers a locked 30fps at 1080p with minimal frame-pacing issues.

although i did drive off a ramp earlier and jumped right at the end and landed on top of a building

honestly i've been having loads of fun with the Type-D

Look's like they'll be adding the Cup Noodles outfit (in future updates?) as well. lol
