Ninja Theory: the industry's most divisive developer. Many love the Cambridge-based company for its work on Heavenly Sword and Enslaved, while those with anime avatars hate it for the colour of Dante's hair. Either way, the studio generally makes good games, and Dexed represents its first foray into the wonderful world of PlayStation VR.

To be fair, this isn't the studio's usual fare – it's more of an arcade experience than a narrative-driven adventure. But it's not bad: a dextrously [Is that even a word? – Ed] demanding rails shooter, you need to freeze fiery foes and melt icy enemies – it's a bit like patting your head and rubbing your tummy all at the same time.

There are four levels with multiple difficulty tiers, as well as a boss fight and an endless Arcade option. Everything has scoreboards so the developer's clearly counting on replay value coming from multiple attempts, though it's obviously going to wear out its welcome in time. That said we had fun capturing the gameplay for this video; look out for a full review soon.
