Prepare Your Fists, Tekken 7 PS4 Release Date Arrives Next Week

Yeah, okay, we know we've used that tagline at least twice before, but hey, Tekken 7 is finally - finally - getting a PlayStation 4 release date next week. We can already feel the devil gene trying to take hold.

The series' official Facebook page reads: "To all Tekken fans and beyond: look forward to the release date announcement of Tekken 7 next week. Stay tuned!" You're darn right we will.

Up until this point, Tekken 7 has been pinned for an 'early 2017' launch - but with no concrete date to go on, fans have been getting restless. Thankfully, the wait will soon be over.

Robert (or Rob if you're lazy) has been a fan of PlayStation since the 90s, when Tekken 2 introduced him to the incredible world of video games. He still takes his fighting games seriously, but RPGs are his true passion. The Witcher, Dragon Quest, Mass Effect, Final Fantasy, he's played 'em all — a little too much, some might say.

Hopefully it will be March, or April at latest. I think it was confirmed (correct me if I'm wrong) that it won't come to Nintendo Switch, sadly. Can't wait to play as Nina. Hopefully customization is as good as Tekken 6's if not, better than Tag 2's.

@Sonicfan11589 So far there's been nothing on Tekken Tunes, but I wouldn't bet on it since the PS4 can only play music from USB storage or Spotify.

On topic, I was about to check Tekken Zaibatsu for news, but caught it here first. I'll believe the date when I see it, and I hope Harada doesn't troll us.

It's probably too hopeful for the game to hit in March, but I hope it does. April is Persona 5, and I'll play it like crazy, while May has Injustice 2, which I'll also play like crazy.

Can't wait. Tekken has always been my favorite fighting game series.

@Rob_230 Surely they wouldn't be saying things like "stay tuned" if it was delayed all the way to September, though - not after saying early 2017 for so long. That'd just be inviting outrage!
