Shawn Layden PS4 E3 2016 Sony 1

There's just over 12 hours until Sony's E3 2016 press conference gets underway – and we still don't have a clue what to expect. The platform holder has been uncharacteristically quiet in the lead-up to this year's show, with close to nothing leaking ahead of time. Given that almost the entirety of Xbox's showing has sadly spilled online, it's a little bizarre at this point.

We wrote in our predictions article that this year's PlayStation presser was difficult to call – and it remains the case that we simply don't know what to expect. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will be there, of course, as will Horizon: Zero Dawn – but once you look outside the co-marketing collaborations and obvious inclusions, it's hard to see how the Japanese giant's going to fill 90 minutes.

It could just be that the firm's got nothing to leak, but we get the impression that it's swaggering into this year's show, with its secrets under lock and key. And we do expect there to be some big reveals – it's just we genuinely don't have a clue what they could be. It'll be interesting to see if the organisation can make it all the way through to its show without accidentally outing a thing.
