Sony Bend's long anticipated PlayStation 4 exclusive appears to be called Dead Don't Ride. Seasoned industry enthusiast Shinobi602 spouted the name on Twitter earlier today, linking the title to the Uncharted: Golden Abyss developer. And, in addition to a casual mention on Reddit last year, it appears that the name has been kicking around for a while: Arran Green, who's been a senior manager at Sony Worldwide Studios since 2012, seemingly registered the domain www.deaddontride.com all the way back in 2014.
This doesn't really tell us an enormous amount about the title, of course. At the PS4's launch party event, Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida hinted that the release would make us "panic" – suggesting that it would have something to do with the undead. The persistent rumour since then has been that it will be an open world horror game built using Unreal Engine 4. It seems like this all may be true – the twist being that there'll be a motorcycle component, perhaps?
It's probably too early to say, but we're confident that this will be one of Sony's announcements at E3 2016 in a couple of months. Are you up for some undead Road Rash? Start your engines in the comments section below.

...Not what I was expecting... at all
As someone who hates heavy metal, I actually occasionally enjoy a spot of heavy metal in my games. That said, this could either be awful or amazing. I guess we'll find out in a couple of months.

Really not Interested as I read through.... Then boom you only went and mentioned Road rash that game was the Don. Changed an era of gaming for me. Having moved on from outrun, hang on, chase hq this game set the bar so high I'd buy it in a shot if it becomes an arcade archive game. Anyway enough day dreaming I'm now intrigued.
Could be really interesting if they can pull it all together, otherwise the whole zombie thing is so played out. Gonna have to be really good to stand out, we shall see.

BTW, does anyone even know the last time Bend released a home console game? I swear I can't think of one for the ps3, but I could be wrong.

I heard whispers a year ago that it's an open world horror without zombies. Vampires maybe? Would be cool if it was about Vampire bikers in ghe spirit of Lost Boys.

Could be really cool. Though the picture that is being painted now is that the game is more action-oriented than based on horror elements. Motorcycles and all.
@get2sammyb Bear in mind if it's meant to be a horror game. If it's using horror loosely then I could imagine Sylosis playing as you massacre zombies. However if it's trying to actually make you panic like Shuhei said, then I can't imagine how they'll incorporate metal music into it.

Hang on a minute. If "the dead dont ride" then what the foook is a skeleton doing on a motorbike?
Well, it's pretty much official that it's not Syphon Filter, which I won't lie, disappoints me greatly. I'll wait and see what this is, but if it's going down the route of undead on bikes, I can't say I'm too hyped. I love Bend as a developer so hopefully whatever this is won't be a disaster.
