While the brand's hardly a household name in the West, the Toukiden titles on the PlayStation 4 and Vita are some of our favourites. Needless to say, we're extremely excited for Toukiden 2, then, which is set to release on the PS4, PS3, and Vita on 30th June in Japan. There's no word on a North American or European date just yet, but publisher Koei Tecmo's typically pretty great at bringing these games overseas promptly.
The sequel, as you'd expect, will be getting a special edition in its home nation, comprising an art book, original soundtrack, character illustrations, and limited edition armour. Moreover, a demo will be made available on the Japanese PlayStation Store from 11th April, and PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to download it three days in advance. There'll also be a demo for the Vita, but there's no date for that yet.

Cool, I'll definitely be downloading that JPN demo.
Maybe I should try out the first one on Vita.
Kinda excited but not yet, I'm definitely going to play it but first I need to play the first game, then I'll be excited for 2.
Excited, playing Kiwami and loving it, if there's a special edition here I'll be all over it.
Curious if this will come west,
I am excited for this. I liked Toukiden on Vita. Skipped Toukiden Kiwami though.
But my personal all time favorite "monster hunter" type game on vita is Soul Sacrifice and its extended version SS Delta.
Also looking forward to God Eater Burst western release.
Oh God... Vita is such a heaven platform for monster hunter type games. Loving this system.
PS! I own new 3ds xl and MH4. After putting some 80 hours into it I can say that its definitely an excellent game... but I still prefer to play the knock offs on vita. Nintendos controls are just not for me. A vita native MH game would be an effing dream
@maamets Loved SSD but loved Freedom Wars even more. Funny thing is, I never thought I would enjoy monster slaying games as much as I do, I never seem to think it's my kind of game and then every single one I play has me hooked.
