Sony's new first-party studio based in the North West of England is still hiring, and now it's looking for an Environment Artist with a "stylised folio similar to Studio Ghibli". The famed Japanese animation house has been pumping out hits in a certain style for years, but you'll probably best know the firm for its collaboration with Level-5, Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch.
While this doesn't really mean much of anything, it's probably safe to say that the "ambitious" Project Morpheus title in production at the new studio will adopt a soft, cartoon-like art direction. Seeing as the firm has only just formed, we doubt that we'll be sampling its output any time soon, but at least the organisation's establishment hints at some solid future support for Sony's forthcoming headset.

Why not just hire Studio Ghibli artists instead?
Sony should worry about making more PS4 exclusives in general before they worry about the Morpheus.
I'm not buying Morpheus unless No Man's Sky is compatible with it.
Why don't they make it without Morpheus....? I'm not buying and wearing that thing while I game.... and I love anime-styled anything, including games, so I hope Morpheus isn't required.
@sub12 All there studios are working on PS4 exclusives, besides PS4 has had about 3 exclusives in the past month alone.
After getting back into Anime I would love to see a Macross Plus game as a pilot on Morpheus that would be siiiiicc.. Good rather good.
All artists should be inspired by Studio Ghibli.
^agreed
I've watched probably a dozen or so ghibli films, although there a few I love there are also many I'm indifferent about, it could be hit n miss
