While we can never be quite sure as to how many PlayStation 3 users are still looking forward to playing Mortal Kombat X, we still reckon that there's going to be bouts of disappointment over the latest news regarding the last-gen port. The game's already been delayed once, but now it's looking like its release has been pushed back even further.
According to Kotaku, sources claim that the fighter's launch has been postponed until Autumn, or Fall, for you Americans, and in all fairness, this doesn't look good for PS3 owners. With most publishers now focussing their efforts on the PS4, we're already seeing the phase-out stage of Sony's older hardware in motion. That said, a PS3 version of Mortal Kombat X was promised and has been up for pre-order since around the time of its initial reveal, so it'd be pretty shady for it to disappear entirely at this point.
What do you make of this? Are you outraged, disappointed, or as patient as a saint? Perform bloody finishing moves in the comments section below.

Given the situation, I think the right thing for NetherRealm to do would be release the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions. But fall makes more sense than the last release date I saw which was June 23. It wouldn't have a chance.
I am interested in this, but by the time it releases I may be close to get a next gen system.
I hope they don't have the nerve of charging $60 for this one at launch after so much time. Or at least include all DLC.
I think they might be pulling a Shadow of Mordor. Let the flagship versions out, get the praise from it, then quietly release the crap last gen version after you already have your sales/accolades.
Makes sense companies are on going to slowly stop support PS3 and Xbox 360, heck the Xbox One and PS4 will be 2 years old this year, how much longer do people think companies will support the last gen consoles?
I'm holding out for Mortal Combat U (as in Wii, not X, Y and Z.)

That has been my main fear all this time. And like Mordor, rerelease as a GOTY Edition while ignoring the last gen version's issues.
Old gen ports of MKX are necessary, not all are interested of new consoles (or have so much money)... I preorder it for X360 four month ago.
